Good Morning BBB.
Beyond crazed yesterday - wrapping pictures and mirrors - more today as well as huge caribou antlers and antler light fixture.
Tons of rain yesterday - now we are just hoping it stays dry to pack the cargo trailer today.
Looks like we will try to pull out next Sunday if we can get the Penske rental truck packed on Saturday - if not we will finish Sunday and then head out Sunday or Monday.
Jack was not picked for the4 Macdonalds shoot and I am soooo glad - no time to take all of Wednesday off packing.
I am grateful to have the BBB posts to read - at least somethings normal. 😆
Do good out there everyone.0 -
I hope you're wearing your fitbit, Raine! You need CREDIT for all this!
My last week with the girls went well! They had a nice card for me, signed by all. And, when we did the study, they REALLY talked and participated deeply. It was a beautiful way to end my time there!
Skip, there was a time that I would have struggled to say no, too, but I've learned a LOT in the past few years. One thing that's really changed me is that my ego has been diminished, and it's been replaced by true worth. My ego was elevated due to deep inadequacy issues that I've built on since childhood. I didn't realize it was ego, because it manifested in my own heart as self-deprecation. It led me to be a people-pleaser ... I was terrified to let others down, or to be seen as anything less than perfect, or to have anyone disagree with me. As that's faded, true self-worth has grown. I can allow myself to be human (and flawed), I don't have to be all things to all people (if I try, isn't that kind of a God-complex?), I can protect my own body, heart, and mind by saying no and setting boundaries, and others can think I'm wrong (I might be!), and all that is OKAY, because I'm fundamentally okay at my core. Things that used to really bother me (oh no! That person doesn't like me!) don't so much anymore (It is none of my business what someone else thinks of me). It's been quite a journey, but I'm learning!

Good Morning!
Lisa, thank you for your words this morning! I'm reading the Boundaries book right now (again).
Hang in there, Raine! Finish line is in sight! Praying that you guys have a smooth and challenge free move.
Have a great day!0 -
Well said Lisa - it is such a good place to be in.0

Good morning BBB friends.
You always seem to write things that uplift my day, Lisa.
You'll get through it all, Raine. Makes me truly grateful that, on all the moves we made in the Army, Uncle Sam paid for packers, who did all that stuff. We spent some time organizing to make it go easier, but a big team of experts would descend on our home and box everything in a day, then load it up the next.
First Sunday in Advent, today, so the choir is starting on music for the Christmas season. I love everything we are singing the next few weeks.0 -
Good Morning
Looks like DS1 is spending New Years in Pasadena!!! Go Bucks!
Big rains here Sat. Now to dry out.
Need to finish my outside porch planters today.
Hang in there Raine, almost done!
Fun meeting up with K State coach Bruce Weber post game last night . Such a wonderful down to earth guy, hasn't changed.
Be well BBB

Morning~
DM/DS off - now putting house back together. Cigarette smokers (both) and spilled coffee everywhere - left DW and I less than happy! Not a good weekend. - but its over!
Lisa - thanks. I too, am a work in progress. We hadn't seen/spoken for years - our lives are so dramatically different - and I hate that I feel I have to apologize for having a job and great friends - but, as the saying goes, you can pick friends; you can't pick your family! I am blessed to have a great group of BBB Friends! Cheers!
Raine - in one week you and Tom and HJ are FLA bound! WOOT!
Got work to do - TTYL.

Raine I don't envy you the packing. We are just getting rid of almost everything. A guy who runs a shop at the air Force Base came yesterday and too a truck load of dishes and art.
.
I'm hoping to consign some of the furniture and art but haven't heard back from them yet. We are only move a small amount of stuff. Hopefully 2 pick up loads.
Cold has moved into chest. I'm skipping dungeons and dragons Meetup today. Need to pack for my trip tomorrow then a nap is in my future.0 -

Evening BBB.
Tough day. Was on the way to NYC for CE meeting and got a call from the husband of our receptionist. She passed away in her sleep right next to him and he found her gone when he woke.
Turned around and stayed with them all morning.
Survived by her husband ( diabetic and has had a heart attack), her two high school aged daughters, her father (colon cancer with metastatic disease), and her two brothers. She was 51 yrs old. Obese and type II diabetic with hypertension and probably sleep apnea...all untreated.
She was a helluva a good person who just didn't take care of herself. She took great care of everyone else.
May she have a wonderful reunion with all her past pets at rainbow bridge.
Am deeply saddened, but saw it coming.
