Intermittent Fasting

Afternoon all,

Just started a new approach to dropping some timber... Intermittent fasting.

Got the concept nailed, but I don't really know if I'll be able to keep it up for any length of time!

So...any tips, tricks etc. much appreciated!

Also...

I've started fasting between 9pm and 3pm (giving me a 6hour eating window)...Seeing as I'm in the office early most days this seemed sensible as it means I can still eat with my wife and our boy for tea.

This is where I'm at currently....... however:

I've just started a 12 week Lifting challenge, so I need to fit in some weight training somewhere.

Question is where do I go from here so I can keep maximise muscle but still drop the flab?

Ta muchly  👍

IF is just a style of eating, it's the calorie deficit that leads to weight loss.

If you can lift fasted, great, if not, you'll have to do it in the evening. So if morning workouts are best for you but you need to eat first then IF may not be the best idea.

To maintain your muscle mass you just need to get adequate protein and lift. Ensuring your deficit isn't too large will help too.
