Exercise: 30mins HIIT with resistance bands, 10 yoga, 65 walking (10118 steps recorded)

Tracked: Every sip and bite.
CI < CO: I regard this as just one tool in my armoury. Pre-logging helps me plan my day and keep my macros balanced. I have upped my protein a little; am improving the quality of intake; working on finding healthy alternatives for empty calorie snacks. It seems to work for me. I am currently discarding holiday excess at an acceptable level. And it's eminently sustainable.

Exercise- Yes kick boxing class at gym, 45 minutes high impact aerobic and 15 minutes core and stretching.
Calories- under by a good amount and didn’t eat back any from workout. Which is kind of sad.

Yes! Once I finally recognized this and gave up.the "nsme" diets, everything started clicking and there has been no turning back2 -

My BFF is recovering from recent surgery and I was expecting to keep her company through the afternoon / be home for pre-planned supper. Through unexpected change in availability of others, stayed with her through eve too, and so there was no real trackable supper.7 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes -- 58 minutes of strength training (full body), plus abs and a arm burnout. My knee if still not 100%, so unfortunately no running yet again for me today.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes, finished under.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes!
This is the first Saturday in a LONG time that I did not overeat or eat a ton of sugar and crap. I lost 2.6 lbs this week, so I'm really determined to keep this going and not screw it up!8 -

Sorry to be behind. We took a long weekend to go to East TN to the Smokies. It's not as beautiful in the winter but it's peaceful and restorative.
My 2 cents... that's all it's worth. When I cut sugars and high fats and empty carbs out and eat fresh clean mostly organic food and lean meats in moderation my body is happy. If I fuel my body well I feel my best. Additional regular thoughtful exercise and tracking and restricting my caloric untake are keys. I cannot sustain a plan that doesn't inspire me. This challenge does because I have to be honest with myself and those of you who are in this with me.

Exercise: Yes. Walking around convention Center several times today for total of about 40 min.
Calories: No again. Too much snacking and bad food choices.

Comung home tomorrow. Time to get back on track as I didnt do well at all the last 2 days of trip (significantly over on calories both days). Goal is no more misses on my 3 goals since I already have 2 this month.5 -

Even the term "diet" has the same double-meaning challenge these days. In everyday usage, it is taken to mean "temporary food intake reduction that will eventually come to an end when the number of the scale is what I want".
As a result of this shift, we have started using the term "lifestyle" to convey the original sense of the term "diet".
It's original, nutritional-science and biological meaning is "the natural food intake for this animal" as in "koala bears consume a diet of mainly eucalyptus leaves (gum leaves)."
I find the evolution of language fascinating ....

@BMcC9. The literal dictionary meaning of "diet" and the social connotation of "diet" when talking about people in a western culture is very different. I started using the term "lifestyle" as the social connotation of "diet" does not convey the meaning I was trying to express.
It is fascinating how language evolves.
(btw, they are not "koala bears" they are "koalas". A "koala" is a marsupial and not related to any member of the bear family. Being Australian, I see this a lot from non-Australians. ).4 -
