    Good Morning BBB.
I opted to go boating and it was wonderful - totally rejuvenating! Pic shows coming through a small pass to an Intercoastal area where we docked and walked the beach on the gulf side and enjoyed a picnic lunch. I found a bunch of sharks teeth - both black and brown.
Tom made it past Nashville yesterday and he'll be back at his shop this afternoon.
Guy coming to assess RV warranty work this morning.
It sounds like all our sickies are better.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Good morning.

Started off the day with coffee at the hotel and they had the TV on with a heartwarming story of a girl who has faced some physical challenges. Of course, since they don't read English, something slipped past them.

Much sitting around at my MIL's house ensued because it was raining and it's a small town. Eventually, I wandered to the grocery store because I couldn't take it anymore. The line for contest entries snaked halfway around the store. FB friends can see the video. At the other, much smaller store, people were standing out in the rain for their chance to win!

Other things of note during my desperate attempt to avoid people included the pic below. A voodoo spiritual offering of a plate of flour and beer. These are apparently left at intersections for reasons Cecilia couldn't explain. Typical uses of the offering might include getting your boyfriend to leave his wife or get your own husband's eyes to stop wandering, I'm told.
    IMG-20181226-165046.jpg

I also bought a pack of batteries and a pack of gum. Not at all exciting until your faithful free market Capitalist noticed the taxes included in my purchase.
    IMG-20181226-150123.jpg

Finished up with dinner at what is apparently the only restaurant in town where you don't give your order to a bored guy behind a counter. Instead, the bored guy comes to you. My dinner companion - who would later strip off her top in an epic tantrum because the straps were bothering her - as viewed from a beer.

    Oh. And cake happened.

    Good morning
Raine, Englewood beach? Stumps pass. ??

Henry goes to the vet at 430. I’m sure it’s kennel cough. I watched a video of it on you tube. It’s very contagious. I’m ticked. I’m sure he got it at daycare. As long as he gets better!!!

Headed to work. Full day here. 1/2 day tomorrow. Back to the normal grind Monday.

This cold thing is really lingering around for everyone.

Sunny and 50+ degrees today. Doesn’t feel like December.

    I’ll cbl

    Good morning, BBB!

I'm glad you went boating, Raine! It looks completely beautiful.
Sorry about Cooper, Kelly. Poor little guy!
Lou, it's so much fun seeing your pics! I can't seem to figure out that receipt (since I don't speak the language and I am not an accountant) ... it looks to me like the batteries were 13.20 and the gum was 1.85, but I'm sure I'm reading it wrong.

Anabelle came down with a stomach bug yesterday. Her birthday is Saturday, so I'm hoping it's short-lived. She actually threw up for the first time in her entire life. (and we'd just run out of laundry detergent, too)

    Mornin' BBB.

Not sure how I missed posting yesterday. Busy. Going in on my day off to fix a dog's knee.

Sorry about Henry, Kelly. Doggy Day Care is like sending the kids to school. Anything contagious gets spread around, there is always something that there isn't a vaccine for that causes problems. If its a form of kennel cough, it usually responds nicely to antibiotic therapy.

Saw Lisa's post about dead beat dad. He's a loser. Don't waste your time on him or expect him to do anything. Sounds like DD27 and Annabelle are better off without him. I know that it has to be really hard for poor Annabelle for him to be like that. Hope she gets over stomach bug soon.

Lou, that photo of the girl with struggling T-shirt almost looks like she is a mannequin. Don't mess with Voo Doo or terrible two yr olds. That is a serious tax rate.

    BBB OP ;-)

I am always amazed by the breadth and span of our topical threads!

Voodoo and strippers. Thats a new one!

    Sorry to hear about O'Henry!

Poor Miss Annabelle! Thats no fun!

Still on furlough and a full day with NO SCHOOL and NO WORK! WOOT! DBIL #1 and #2 arrive tomorrow. Oi Vay.

    Cheers,

    Morning BBB

About .5 inch of ice on the car this morning but according to the roads app we will be out of it just outside the city limits. Super windy too. Going to be a long drive home.

    Hope Annabelle feels better soon.

Good Morning I say from my office chair, uugghhh.

Hmmm dogs where I trained mine years ago, which also was a kennel, daycare, training facility couldn't go there unless you showed them the dog received the bordetella vaccine. do they no longer admin such? Hope Henry gets better quick!

I made turkey soup yesterday from scratch. Can't wait for lunch!

Is it Friday yet, I'm ready for a 4 day weekend.

Lou, how long you away for?

Hugs to Annabelle on so many levels. I was that little girl with a Daddy that didn't put his time in with me like he should of. But know what was worse, was my Mom reminded me of such growing up all the time and she had such resentment and anger toward him, it affected her own happiness moving forward, and our relationship (hers and mine) for many a years as well. Children from divorce are smart, they figure out many things all on their own, they need no reminders. They know who they can and cannot count on. Its good to give her permission to love her father for who he is and is not, if she so chooses. (twocents) Its wonderful she has you and your family Lisa, to show her the way. huggss you are a wonderful Gramma!

    Enjoy the day BBB

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Another interesting day in Louville. It would take more than flour and beer to get me to do those things you speak of Lou.
    • Get well wishes to Anabelle and Henry.
    • Other than short dog walks and checking the mail I didn't leave the house yesterday. I just realized I don't hear the DW coughing this morning. Progress.
    • Good luck with the dog and the knee Lee.
    • Drive safe Steph.

Thank you for that wise reminder, Mary! I'm going to copy it and send it to my Dd27. Actually, our whole family could benefit from it.

    Good Morning,
Very entertaining board this morning with some very good advise.
Dennis, since you retired as a computer expert I highly value your input; plus I'm not willing to pay extra for Apple name.
    Always enjoy Lou's post,
Seems as DSIL wants to get rid of her mom sooner than planned, called our DD and wanted to take her to their house, DD agreed to Friday since she is working today and already had plans for tonight. DD was suppose to be off this week, but Dec. 22 company announced they were being acquired, seems they want DD to assist with transition, offering a good bonus but keeps her from seeking another job till transition complete. They are telling her with will be good for her resume.
Grocery store today to get whats needed for Sunday and maybe New Years, rain coming in this afternoon lasting through Monday.
    Enjoy the Day,

    Good morning BBB friends.

Continue to enjoy the updates from Brazil and the warm parts of the U.S. It's 38 and foggy in Tumwater and I have to run to take a walk with my DW. Have to work off the extra calories from all the Christmas eats.
