I am a road cyclist and triathlete. New to the forum - apologise if Ive done something silly/broken any rules
Anyway
Im trying to get leaner for more watt per kg for the upcoming race season. Current ftp 300 so thats 4.1 wkg -
- weight 72kg (was going for 65/6kg race weight) height 165 m. Typically do 10-14 hours per week
Any tips or no nos that you know of?
Ive heard that power drops when losing weight on the bike. Any way to avoid this?
Do I need to change in macro nutrient make up for high (ish) performing athletes or is it the same as everyone else?

Have you had a look at “the core diet”. I bought the book and it’s an interesting read0

Power per kg should go up if you lose weight. From what I have read, don’t skimp on pre, post and during training carbs but clean up the diet elsewhere1
