    Mornin' BBB.

Post ophthalmologist photo. Notice they are squinting in the light because of dilated pupils.

Made some cabbage soup last night. Double batch because of huge head of cabbage. Anybody want some soup? Made with homemade venison italian sausage.

Thank you bbb family. The kind words you’ve spoken, the way so many of you reached out to me means a lot. Very hard day and night. I didn’t sleep much. This too shall pass.
    I like the pic Lee

    Good Morning BBB.
I woke this morning with a heavy heart for the Moody family. 💔
Englewood farmers market yesterday was amazing - I got some fruit, granola, and a couple everything bagels - plus we snacked on one of the best cannolis that I have ever had! (mini of course)
Rain moving in later this afternoon so heading to the dog beach for Jack to swim for an early lunch break.
Tom is heading south a day earlier than expected - yippee!!
Lee - love the squinting pic.

    Hugs to Kelly and family

Today working in Lexington KY. It's so picturesque here. I highly recommend a visit. Them headed home this afternoon. Super short connection in Chicago so hopefully all is running long smoothly today.

    Good Morning,
    Kelly, Prayers continue comfort,
Cabbage soup sounds good, have not made in several years; put some crackling cornbread with that, would be good but not healthy.
Hopefully all rain, ice and snow will be gone before Tom starts home
DMIL woke us at 3:34 this morning; came upstairs turning lights on; said she had not taken her drugs. DW got up Friday's pills already gone and none in Thursday's box either; don't know what she's done or when she took them.
Then at 4:30 I start hearing a drip, drip, drip; leak in roof that we were told was fixed twice before leaking in same place. Went up in attic, crawled through fiberglass and found where water was coming through OSB. Once it stops raining and DW leaves I'll get up there and try and fix myself.
Yesterday afternoon dishwasher stopped working, could not get to come on. Its 13 years old so we just went to get another one, Lowe's was too high and does not have good service here so went to appliance store over in Dennis's hood and saved $225.00, they cannot install till next Wednesday. DW says she'll pick up paper plates and plastic flatware; we had to hand wash dishes the first 26 years on my life; will not hurt us. Last night after all was hand washed dishwasher came on by itself. Only thing I can figure is DMIL had been playing with controls which caused a 6 hour delay.
Jewelry store has finally agreed to swap stones; if they are graded correctly new ones will be worth what we paid. After receiving will have 2 weeks to sign-off. They are paying for delivery and insurance.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

Tried to post earlier, said I did not have permission to post, yesterday they changed some of my terms; guess I lucky they didn't just spoof me.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Kelly, my thoughts and prayers are with you this morning. Give Henry a hug and remember the happy times with Sally. I am sure it is tough on your DSs who grew up with her.
    • It is raining, or should I say it is still raining in GA. We are about to float away. i think the rain is supposed to stop later today.
    • Lexington, Ky is beautiful country Steph. They speak Southern there. I hope you found time to dine at a Waffle House.
    • Careful on that roof Sam. Us old guys take a long time to heal.
    • Speaking of healing. DW and I both commented last night that we are finally over this crud we've had since the cruise.
    • Lee, your girls clean up well.
    • Skip, I see where Nancy and crew decided to come back to work. I'm sure they'll all sit down and solve this dilemma quickly.

Take care Kelly, it takes time....

Glad things are good in FL Raine and Tom gets a head start to return!

This weekend is holiday décor tear down and a good cleaning. House always looks so empty thereafter, which is good, no clutter ! Will in the 40's too so SO plans on taking all the outdoor lights down and put away as well.

Sat. night is the gender reveal party for my DN and his DW. Funny how this generation has to know what their baby's gender is, etc. No surprises like in our generation.

I drove through upper KY once in spring and it was so green with hills and horse farms etc, just beautiful as I remember. Safe travels Steph

    Them dogs are beauties, Lee

Sam - inquiring minds: cracklin cornbread??? Care to share?

    Gotta love them DMIL stories.

In the middle of doing six things to include replacing 60 recessed bulbs in the house from the energy efficient (takes 5 minutes to warm up) to the (gasp) REAL BULBS - climbing up/down ladder on multiple floors, DMIL exclaims she needs to rearrange her closet of purses and boots (she finally cleaned out DFIL clothes and gave them to GoodWill). So DW stopped to help her leaving me to do double duty.

DMIL time - they surely operate on their own clock system.

Aw Kelly it is the least we can do for ya in this hour of need.
•Doc you gotta know that led bulbs turn on way faster than REAL BULBS . Just sayin'

    Have a wonderful day all.

Cracklins-"Pork rind is the culinary term for the skin of a pig. It can be fried in pork fat (lard) as a snack. The frying renders much of the fat attached to the uncooked rind, causing the size of the cooked product to be reduced considerably". Mix cracklins into cornbread batter and bake in cast iron skillet.
Sat down to supper to eat, flatware was dirty; DMIL swears she washed it yesterday when dishwasher not working. Tonight DW put dish in sink where DMIL was washing dishes in COLD water, I can't understand why they don't come clean, to her a rinse is same as washing.
Neighbor had his son come look at roof to fix; recommends call regular roofing company and file claim with insurance company, seems there is a good bit of storm damage to roof. Suppose to come out Monday afternoon.
I have a chest MRI Monday morning.
