    Good Morning BBB.
Tom should be heading south this morning - Yippee!
Friends from up north arrived yesterday and we opened the canvas gazebo we had ordered online and found missing and damaged parts so we are returning it (being picked up today). The box was delivered damaged by FedEx and the company we ordered the Gazebo from is using UPS for the return. Interesting. We went to Home Depot and bought a similar canvas gazebo for less money and probably the same quality. $199 compared to $360. From the pic on the box it certainly looks the same. Oh, and this gazebo is a better size to fit our table.
I'll get some work done early this morning and then the same friends will help put the gazebo together and then we will head to the beach.
Sam and Dave - kick the congestion alright already!
Sam - how did DW's surgery go?
Mary - I do the same thing - I grow out my hair just to cut it off shorter again. Oy!
Steph - we are about 80 miles south of St. Pete - we will figure it out.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Mornin' BBB.

Am not a fan of Fed Ex for delivery of anything other than documents. Their parcel delivery service is way subpar. Enjoy the beach, Raine.

Thunder last night. Guess who woke me up to let me know it was thundering?

Bob, cannot believe you planted pea sprouts already. We have to wait until Memorial Day or thereabouts.

    BBB OP ;-)

Lee - I was here when they delivered and I probably should have checked the contents because the box was damaged. Oh well.

    Good morning
    Stinks when stuff arrives damaged.
Raine. After the cruise we will hopefully be booking our annual trip in May to Englewood.
Eye dr today. Going to try the new bifocal contacts. No more reading glasses for me. I’ll look soooo young! Ha
How did the hair turn out Steph?
Did you like the upper parts of Indiana?
Hope both you sick men are feeling better and that the hand heals up
    Lisa, how is Jim’s hand?

Kelly - Im glad you are going to be down in May - we will finally get to hug!
I have bifocal contacts and depending on your eyes you may have to decide between sharp distance vs close. With my eyes I opted for sharp distance vision but for some fine reading I still need cheaters.
Oh course, I'm older than you 😆

    Good morning.

You're older than Kelly, Raine? I had you both pegged in your mid-thirties.

    Morning BBB

Hair turned out good. A little shorter than I planned but I did tell her to even out the old wedge layers. I need to color it still but didn't want to ruin her blowout. Maybe tonight.

Driving to Ft Wayne Indiana tonight. Anxious to get home this week. So much to do.

    Have a great day all.

    Morning~

I wish I could do contacts....Instead, destined to a life if thick frame geeky bifocals. But all of us 20-somethings like the chic retro look.

Glad you are getting gazebo up - can't wait to see if Jack is mastering the waves!

Lee - was it the Butler bringing you sleepy tea?

SGM - hope you are feeling better!

Sam - update on DW surgery? Your health? Hope things are improving!

Another security camera instal this morning (should be the final one) that gives us nearly 365 coverage around house. Love the technology! Blower for fireplace install today too.

    Furlough continues. Ugh.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Yep, Lou gets major suck up points this morning.
    • I ordered a TV/ Audio cabinet on-line and it took 3 shipments to get all the parts here undamaged. I'll give Wayfair credit. They kept shipping them.
    • Speaking of glasses. I have trifocals and I am considering progressive lenses. Anyone here make that switch?
    • Get well wishes for all still suffering.
    • Enjoy your company and the beach Raine.
    • I'm off to the Urologist this morning. Regularly scheduled check up to keep track of the PSA numbers.

I have progressive lenses in my glasses and they are great. Two important things - make sure where you get them they are precise in their measurements and give yourself a day or so to get used to them.

I too have progressives(no lines) and the transition option for my lenses.

All the cool 20 somethings do....

I agree with the 30 year old from FL - give it a day or so to "get used to it."

    Good morning BBB friends.

Still feel sick, but maybe a little better - I am an optimist.

Progressive lenses didn't work for me, at all. The peripheral distortion drove me crazy. DW has them and loves them, though. The best solution is to develop cataracts. I wore glasses from age 8 until 58. Cataract surgery gave me 20/20 in one eye and 20/15 in the other. I still need reading glasses, but three pair for $18 at Costco beats $500 for one pair I paid before. I am far more ancient than the rest of you, however.

I'm in the progressive camp. Could get away with 1.5 readers, but my night driving was blurred and street signs from afar were unreadable. I love my progressives, I also this summer bit the bullet on Rx polarized progressive sunglasses. With this Graves Eye disease it was a good investment, but pricey as well. I can't hardly be outside in daylight without them.

    Btw, Good Morning!

Back from early walk. Mornin' all.
*Looks like in Maine they wait until at least Mid April or early May to plant peas. Our ground never really gets frozen very deep if at all. One year it dropped to about 6°F after I planted the soaked peas and I just covered the ground with newspaper and piled on some snow. It didn't stay in the single digits for more than a day or two. About 2/3 of the peas survived and came up a few weeks later.

If we wait until late in the year for peas the crops aren't nearly as productive and some peas can get enation virus which stunts them.
I suspect when years ago farmers planted peas in February here they meant late February. Nowadays it isn't that cold for cold weather crops like peas.
    Stay warm and comfy all!
