This picture proves that I climbed to the summit of North Mountain in AZ. It’s not a pretty picture but it’s a full frontal view of the cell tower and other towers that feed data to the Phoenix residents.

Here is a photo of North Mountain in Phoenix. A true mountain is 2,000 feet from base to summit. This mountain is only 783 feet of elevation.
It took me one hour to climb to the summit and 40 minutes to descend. I’m very happy!!
Lots of young people passed me on the climb up. I think it was the tattooes. I’m wondering if a tattoo would improve my cardio vascular strength ( ? Maybe they are just younger?)

No joke - has anyone else had trouble logging in their exercise diary tonight? It worked this morning .... I want to know if others have this problem (meaning it is actually a system error) before I report it ...
Given that I JUST FINALLY got my Friend Request page to open, and that is still working right. So I am HOPING this isn't just me.
It seems to be working again ... for the moment .... when I logged in just now and tried to add the evening HIIT entry again, all 10 tries from yesterday evening ALSO (finally) loaded.5 -

I was a bit down this morning because I was supposed to run and still cannot, but I managed to get a doctors appointment for Monday (doh? Is this a miracle??) then I went out for a mtb ride and the result on the cardio was more or less the same than running. Fair enough.
Then I went out on the sup, just a quick look around but it was nice anyway.9 -

I think that is the mountain my ex-husband made me hike on our first date. I was not a hiker and it was hot. That should have told me that it wouldn't work between us but I needed 18 more years to finally figure it out.
Yes x 3 today!! The scale is moving and I think it has a whole lot to do with the fact that I am not eating after dinner and that I'm tracking my sodium. Trying to keep it well under 2000 mg. on most days.

Kudos to those of you who are reaching goals this month. Making and reaching attainable goals a little at a time is all that it takes!
@RangerRickL congrats on your goal for reaching the summit of North Mountain. I love hiking and wish I had done more of it with my family when I was working instead of sitting at a desk. There is so much to appreciate outside in natural surroundings. Time is limited when young and raising a family, though. My Dad always said we have it all backwards. His opinion was we should be on an extended sabbatical while our children are growing so we can enjoy and fully appreciate the time we have with them, start our working careers at 50 and then retire 70-75. A bit idealistic...but there may be some merit to his thinking!8 -
Workout: Yes, even started to do light weight training today.

Calories: Did pretty good today. A little over what I like to do daily (1200), but I can deal with it. Overall I'm still within my budgeted amount since I have my exercise calories.

Had a wonderful, productive day with errands, meeting with friends, family fun, and housework. Did ok with tracking, calories, and exercise; but I’m going to take a pass day. Tracking some of it is just too difficult, and I think I went over on calories. This will be Pass #1 for me. See y’all tomorrow.5
