In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your "short term goals"

Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!

Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!

Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!

You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Choose something you know you can do easily.

2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.

3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!

Anyone interested in joining us for another week, or a first week, or a get back on track week?

Check in often, have a great week and do the best you can! :)

    1. No alcohol.
    2. No food after 7:30 pm.
    3. Write a blog post.
    4. Zumba Mon/Tue/Thu/Sat; weights Mon/Wed/Sat.
    5. Sunday treadmill (or outside) running: 1.5 miles w/o break, aim for 20 minutes. (That should be ~5 m/h?)

It's Wednesday and it's been a really hard day at school - I just have too much to do and I can't get everything done and I'm really stressed. And I want to just go home and zonk out but I have my weights class at the Y.

    :( I don't wanna go.

    Hello ladies,
I was away the end of last week and beginning of this week. I had lots and lots of steps and did lots of walking. So no goals this week.

I hear you both about struggling. Perhaps it’s the time of year. Let’s just keep moving forward. Finish the week with some resolve and plan for next week. Have a great weekend.

    Story time!

So I went home Wednesday instead of to the Y. I told myself that the husband had been asked if he could stay late to help with students who get picked up a little later, so if he was doing that, I'd pick up my headphones and go over to his school and see if they'd let me run laps around the gym. Well, I turn onto our street and I can see that all the way at the end, there's the car in our driveway! So he was home already, so I was like "well guess I'm just getting some extra husband time." And I rationalized that I needed a break anyway. And I got absolutely ZERO grading or planning or coursework done.

It was a lot easier to justify that when at 5 PM we got the call that there would be no school on Thursday due to icy roads on the mountain and continued low temperatures. WOOHOO! The thing is, WE don't live on the mountain. So Thursday late-morning I went to the Y and did a make-up strength class. I got some lesson planning done. Dropped the husband off to see an Aquaman matinee while I went to my regular Thursday evening Zumba class.

Apparently the universe agreed with my decision to take a break! ;D

It really was! I have like eight more essays that I need to get graded TODAY. And a unit plan to modify for my course. And we need to get groceries (I'm out of healthy snacks and that is NOT ALL RIGHT). But other than that I'm doing pretty good!

    Post-week check-in

    1. No alcohol. :) This is the easiest one, cuz I'm cheap :D
    2. No food after 7:30 pm. :( I need to have a different goal for tracking my eating. I'm crap at logging.
    3. Write a blog post. :( I don't know if I even have one queued for tomorrow.
    4. Zumba Mon/Tue/Thu/Sat; weights Mon/Wed/Sat. :unamused: Took Wednesday off but added in an extra weight class Thursday. Gonna count that as :)
    5. Sunday treadmill (or outside) running: 1.5 miles w/o break, aim for 20 minutes. (That should be ~5 m/h?) Hopeful on this one! Need to get stuff done so I have time for it this afternoon
    6. Complete and submit all coursework at least 2 days before due. yeah right :(
