Good Morning BBB.
I was up talking to a new customer in California until midnight - this timezone presents issues - not only is the news and everything else an hour late but working throughout the timezones presents challenges.
We looked at some models in two different neighborhoods yesterday - today are going to check out more homes including new construction in the areas we are honing in on.
We are leaning toward finding new or newer construction without having to build ourselves - it's a challenge because builders aren't building many "spec" houses here and those that the better builders do build get bought fast. We have heightened the challenge by needing an oversized lot or second abutting lot for Tom's shop. We are having a blast!!!
Sam - you are right. We have been using our heater and I have been wearing a polar-fleece jacket even though it has only gotten into the 40s. It sounds like DMIL had a fun birthday.
Mary - sorry you got sick. Feel better fast.
Steph - so glad the sunshine is helping.
Lee - hydration is difficult for many elderly people. So glad DW and her siblings can be there with their mom when needed.
David - missing a Super Bowl while in basic training is excused.
Dennis - I love the concept of a "safe room" for the adult males!
Kelly - is your girls night a regular, weekly event? Sorry about the ding in your car.
Bill - Tom's and your refrigerators look strikingly similar - you must be related. I don't drink but I can appreciate a well stocked bar fridge.

Sam, they did not do an MRI or CT, DMIL would not allow. She seems to be improving, slowly.
DW is taking her to see neurologist tomorrow. Since she is wheelchair bound at this point, getting her out of her apartment is a huge undertaking.
Raine, your house hunting game sounds fun. Am sure you all will find what you need down there. You need a West Coast customer rep.
Dennis, how was Magnolia? Love whacko Waco. Better than Houston but not as good as Austin (its just weird).
Still cold here but only 6 degrees this am. 9 degrees warmer than yesterday. At least no wind chill.

. Gone to head home today if I can pry DW out of here. I need to convince her the later we leave, the later into the night we drive.
. We have a book on disk that we didn't finish. I am anxious to hear how it ends.
. Plenty of turn over in real estate in that area Raine with all the senior citizens. The over sized lot / extra building does complicate things though. It may have you looking further west. Good luck.
. Magnolia was just a quick trip to say we've been there. They are proud of their stuff. We had dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse last night.

Playing catch up in office today. Good thing about catching a cold, folks leave you alone LOL. I feel better already. Or maybe they just don't like me, either way a win.
Maddie dogs vet did exactly what Lee said he'd do.... plus she has an ear infection so the meds will do double duty, ear and toe nail, though the toe nail isn't infected. Even though the groomer trimmed her nails 2 weeks ago, the vet took them down a bit shorter. He said maybe bring her to him for nail trimming, sometimes groomers are a bit shy with it.
Lee, are Golden-doodles prone to ear infections?
More snow coming our way this afternoon. Good thing I was in early, so I'm out early hoping to be the blizzard conditions called for.
Dennis, drive safe enjoy the audio book finale. I need to get some audio books!
I have homemade leftover turkey soup I froze awhile back. Added a bunch more of mixed veggies this morning to it as well. I'll cook it all up in the microwave.

Enjoyed pan-fried razer clams at DS' house, last night. They are a local delicacy.
Saw a news report about long-range forecast for the rest of the winter that was headlined about how cold and nasty it will be. Then I looked at the included map and saw that half the country is predicted to be warmer than normal. Weather news is all focused on the Eastern Time Zone. Looking forward to that "much warmer than normal" prediction for the Pacific Northwest.0 -
