Interesting that you all are talking about the blown calls from refs. The pastor at the service I work is a basketball ref, and a few weeks ago he hosted a big ref event at our church. Imagine 250 refs in one room! And now imagine the JOKES that come from that ... ha!
So sorry about your friend, Bill! How horrible.
All the schools here closed last night in anticipation of the big storm and -35 degree windchills. Did it hit you, Mary? It's snowing now, but it's not atrocious yet. I'll probably still do my morning workshop, and decide later about the evening one.
Kelly, where are you going, and can I fit into one of your suitcases??? I won't eat much.0 -
Good Morning BBB.
WOW Lisa - you are up early!
Rained here the last 24 hour+
Wettest day on record for Ft Meyers yesterday.
Taking Jack in for his annual visit today - I found a rehab practice up toward Sarasota that I hope will be a good fit for ongoing chiro and laser treatments - I still have not found a place to get piezo wave treatments.
Sam - you are right, tiny house living is not for me.
Although we are anxious to get into a house we do not want to make a move unless it feels right. We are considering a new, small home that has hurricane impact windows - the price is right even though we would have to install a pool. We are checking on the price of the side lot and the lot behind the house. The side lot is listed for sale and the lot behind is owned by a person in Sweden and is not listed for sale. I'll write a letter to the owner of record and see where that goes.
Bill - so sorry about the loss of your friend.
Lisa - so bitter cold up north. I always worry about the poor and the homeless.
Kelly - flights should be cheap in May.
David - we Cubs fans held on to the curse of the goat for 100 years
Do good out there everyone.

Mornin' BBB.
Nice little birding trip to a preserve in eastern CT. I did not shoot, just handled Tess and Babe. It was fun and the weather was perfect. Although, I did not sleep well on the wee bed that was provided, so I needed a nap when I got home.
I'm sorry you all in Wisconsin and Illinois are having to deal with some serious winter weather. Thankfully, it seems to be missing CT so far.
Very sorry about your friend, Skip. I think we've always known that obesity is bad for your health, science continues to improve our understanding why.
That is a funny thought about all those refs, Lisa. But somehow I imagine that they don't make light of their passion.

Morning~
Time to make the donuts......
Finally back to work and routine. Though, rumors of another shutdown loom.
Lisa - stay inside; stay warm!
Tom/Raine - wow! Sounds like a perfect setup! BBB could be swimming in your pool by the end of summer! I'll start speedo shopping now!
Busy day ahead. Ta Ta0 -

Good morning BBB friends.
Sunny and pleasant, here around Puget Sound. Sorry for the rest of you.
My grandfather, who coached high school baseball for 40 years in Webster Groves, MO - he taught baseball to Harry Caray, who played 2nd base on one of his teams - also refereed college football in the old Big 8 conference. He had his own perspective - especially about some of the legendary coaches of the day: Bud Wilkenson, from Oklahoma, was a great gentleman; Woody Hayes, from the Big 10s Ohio State, was as big a jerk off the field as he was on it. Very little controversy about blown calls, though. There was no instant replay in those days before even video tape existed.
Doctor's appointment, this morning, to discuss asthma tests I took a month ago. We'll see.0 -
I cancelled the WW workshop this morning. I hate doing that ... I have all kinds of anxiety about whether it was the right choice. But, I'd have anxiety about going in in this weather, too. So, I guess I'm just going to have anxiety. And it really sucks because we're doing Open Houses this week, and I've worked my tush off prepping. They are going to be really awesome, but then they WON'T be if no one comes because of weather. Ugh.0

Morning BBB
First night in the new apartment. Still lots of organizing but almost everything is here. Just need to move the bikes and a couple of things in the garage. BIL is stopping today with his truck to help.
So glad our afternoon plans got cancelled yesterday and Ron's friend was free. Yesterday was 35 and sunny. Today -15 with wind chill.
Glad to have the week off to get settled.0 -
So does Skip know something we don't know?

Good morning BBB Friends.
- It looks like it is going to be a good week to hibernate for lots of us. It is supposed to reach 60° here this afternoon but Tue. and Wed. nights down in the mid 20s. That is cold for us. I hope you folks in the mid-west can stay home and stay warm.
- Lisa, better safe than sorry. Not need to get someone hurt going to a WW meeting workshop.
- I am taking car #2 into the Ford dealer for service today. Routine stuff.
- Dave, I got a degree from Webster University in Webster Grove. They have an excellent military program and I did most of my work in Iceland. I've been to Webster Grove twice.
- Skip, knows a lot of things we don't know. Some of it I don't want to know.

Steph - congrats on completing the move in.... Whats the latest on your procurement for a RV-type vehicle?
Lou - I think what you got is headed our way tomorrow. buttasscold here today
Lisa - you made the right call.....0 -
So sorry about the cold weather Lisa. My brother in Iowa is going to get some too below zero for a high.
Stay warm everyone. Fortunate to have a nice walk this a.m. in upper 30s and 50s today. Blessed indeed but empathetic to all in the path of ridiculous coldness.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Subbed today,
Beautiful sunny and 60 now, schools around Atlanta are closing for tomorrow based on what may come; now we are not expected to get any ice or snow.
I hear some folks like cold weather so they can go snow shoeing and ice fishing, I'll settle for low temps in 30's warming into 50's and 60's during day.
Steph, glad you are getting settled in.
Kelly, hope planes can make it to take you to warmth.
Raine, my DD use to keep telling us we did not need our house; she was living in a 1200 sq. ft. we let in go in and out other ear, less than a year started 500+ ft. addition.
Be safe everyone,
So far no calls for tomorrow.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0
