Has anyone found the magic formula for brown rice in the IP (how long? how much water? how long for natural release?) I use Arborio rice for rice pudding and risotto in my IP without issue but haven't been very successful with brown, long grain rice. Thanks!

I haven't made brown rice yet. But my cheat sheet says to use 1:1 for 20 minutes HP. I would probably do 1:1.25 at least and do quick release. I've seen recipes that call for natural release on rice, but I think that makes it mushy. I always do a QR.

I’ve never liked rice in my instant pot. I bought a zojirushi rice cooker. Expensive, but worth it if you like rice. Comes out perfect every time.

I haven't tried it in my instant pot. I have a rice cooker too. However, I have heard that this is the magic recipe for brown rice:

Here what I do and turns out perfect!

    24 minutes high pressure

Natural Pressure Release (11-18 Minutes To Natural Release)

    (Used Calrose botan brand )

    1:1 rice to water ratio
