Good Morning BBB.
I wrote a long post and hit the wrong button. OY!
Submitting Tom's appeal of the denial of his hip replacement claim - the substandard insurance company said it was pre-existing. Incorporated a medical expert opinion and a couple affidavits from people that have known Tom for years. Not my area of the law so I worked with a friend and I'll bring it to him to sign (he is up at his second home in Siesta Key) then submit. The insurance company will only accept it by fax or mail. Who uses faxes anymore - it's 2019 - crazy.
Also filing a complaint with the Illinois Department of Insurance.
Stressful project that I am glad is nearly done.
Lee - we are toying with the smaller, new home (1465 sq feet in air-conditioning). Getting info on the vacant lot to the side and pool cost then will decide.
Lisa - smart decision.
Steph - congrats on the move. I bet it's nice to have everything in your new digs.
Sam - I agree with you about the weather.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Wow. Not cool on the hip replacement issue.
Lou's keyboard and iphone must be frozen. Glad you moved, Raine?
Looks like -5 F is coldest it will get here. Cold enough.

Morning BBB
We are all organized except for the hall closet which is stuffed full of the camping and biking gear, coats etc. Will do that today. Just need to make room for the vaccuum and make it easier to find stuff
Have a car full of things we are donating including 2 shelving units we moved but don't need and a bunch of blankets and towels that we only kept to protect the electronics. Will drop off at a homeless shelter just in time for the -25 wind chill expected tomorrow.
Need to get the car licenced today and they missed giving me a sack of groceries yesterday so need to get those. Don't plan to venture out at all on Wednesday.0 -
Then we will spend the rest if the week fine tuning the van. Sprinter released the 2019 model for customization about 2 weeks ago so we need to get all our options picked out.
We have a lease here through July so hopefully that will be enough time.0 -
Good Morning, my commute took only an hour, since black ice hit all the highways and a couple shut down, I took the back roads through 2 counties instead at 30 mph, oh well. Im safe at my desk. I will NOT travel outside tomorrow in the subzero temps, sorry boss, ain't happening.
Sorry for Tom Raine, that stinks and sounds like a big hiccup, but he has you to navigate through and get him a new hip!
Picking the options sounds fun, Steph! Suppose to be 60 degrees warmer here by Sat. how crazy is that!
Be safe, be happy BBB0 -
Good Morning,
Slept in this morning, did not get a call from school.
Most in North Georgia are staying in to avoid snow and ice since its 47 degrees, Atlanta and Fulton government offices closed. Most schools and colleges closed; by 9 tonight it should get down to freezing all rain and snow will have passed through by 2 this afternoon with sunshine after that.
Steph, glad you are settled in hope timing works out for you and Ron.
Those in mid West and North, stay in and be safe.
Raine, you don't have to be in a big hurry; couple of months. Hope you get insurance issues worked out; they aren't fun to work with.
Weather just interrupted broadcast to say that it has started to snow on backside of front, 36 degrees and should be through in a couple of hours, may drop to 34 before sun comes out.
Really,
Enjoy the Day,

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Insurance companies are not fun to deal with. At least Tom has built in legal help.
- I've been fighting with my Ford dealer about a 2 year old recall to replace the airbags. Yesterday they told me they still don't have parts. I told them my attorney asked them to write that on my receipt. I now have an appointment to have them replaced in March.
- Raine, we down sized to 1393 sq ft. I like it but you can't keep everything you've ever owned. Getting rid of the junk was therapeutic. Having Tom's shop would definitely help. Of course Steph took this to a new level.
- Mary, I would advise beating the rush hour home and hibernating for a couple of days. That goes for all of you in the Midwest.
- I am going to a WW meeting workshop today and I may or may not be within goal. Time to get serious again.

Good morning BBB friends.
Hope all cope successfully with the polar vortex.
DW is always saying we need to get a small, one-story house. I say they will get me out of my house when they load me into the body bag. We have been in this house almost 17 years - longest I have lived anywhere in my life. I don't want to move - ever. Sigh.0 -
Lou - thats funny!
The bigger question is - "....who still reads newspapers?" (asking for a friend)

All the workshops today and tomorrow here are closed. In all the years I've worked for WW (12 and a half now), I've NEVER seen them close a day early. Both mine yesterday were cancelled, too, so that's 6 out of the 8 I'd be doing this week. I must say that I SO appreciate that corporate made the call instead of leaving it up to me to do ... I always stress over whether it's the right choice, and this time I don't have to worry about that. It's crazy-awful conditions here with accidents everywhere. I'm just going to stay all snug in my pj's in my house.

Smart move, Lisa Lisa!
Stay warm!
