I kept my walkman from when I was little, luckily there is a record store in the city which sells really cheap tapes too!

wish I had kept my walkmen from when I was a teenager. How cheap are the tapes?

As for music, my taste are pretty much all over the place. Here are some of the music that is currently dominating my iPod to name a few. The stroke, Muse, Arctic Monkey, Pink floyd, Steve Vai, The Shins, Vaccine, Death cabs, Be the bear, Said the Whale, Bastille etc.
    Great list of artists.

Player is my iphone and you'll find a few jams from the 80's and 90's but mostly stuff from the last 10 years.
(There are three songs from the Neverland Pirate band for my kid too) Anything with a good beat that gets me moving!

Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5 are getting most of the play time this month!

My taste is quite eclectic. Some of my all-time favourites are Madonna, Robyn, Nephew, U2 and Loreen.

During my workouts, I prefer listening to music with a strong dance beat.

I'm new to the group, but the topic caught my eye =]

I find that good Trance and Progressive House music is perfect when doing a cardio workout!

I'm a sucker for Armin Van Buuren lol

Is Patterson's solo stuff of a piece with Drive-By Truckers?

Until I buy an MP3 player, I'm at the mercy of whatever's on at the YMCA I go to.

On my netbook (which is where most of my music is) there's music from 1910 up to 2013, lots of different genres (rock, alternative, "classic" rock, bluegrass, country [mostly older], doo-wop and rock 'n' roll from the 50s/60s, some metal, Christian/Gospel music, classical, jazz, new age, R&B, rap, pop, blues, mashups, a bit of dance/electro/techno/whatever-ya-wanna-call-it and disco and some comedy/novelty stuff. Around 44,000 files if I recall correctly.

I subscribe to the "There are only two kinds of music: good and bad" theory so I try and stay open to listening to lots of different stuff.

Right now at my desk I've got Nichole Nordeman, Beck, a self-created Squeeze anthology, The Sundays and a Bill Cosby comedy CD if that's any indication.
