I am wanting to get back on track and lose about 80 pounds of regain (sleeved in 2010). What are the typical daily nutrition goal settings in My Fitness Pal. For example, what % or grams of a typical sleevers intake should be fat, carbs, protein, etc...
Thanks,
Denise

Hi! I’m an RNY, former sleever, and pop over from time to time. Your macros depend on your goals. Normally weight loss surgery patients need around 80 grams protein a day, then carbs and fat will be to your preference. I do low carb high fat, so mine are 20 grams of carbs (or less being ketogenic for four years), then fat is around the same as protein. Sometimes I eat less fat and allow my body to use the fat I have stored for my energy.

Low carb is a range of 150 grams, or less, daily. Where the normal recommendations are around 250 a day (which I consider to be ridiculously high!)! Many can lose weight at the 150 range.

The key is dropping the margarine and using real butter. The man made fats aren’t helping us in anyway at all! Have you ever seen oil come from a vegetable? It’s not natural!

Using olive oil, or coconut oil is good too for cooking vegetables in.

Try to drop foods from boxes and bags! These processed items aren’t proper fuel and leave us starving to dang death! Make us go scrounging around the cupboards for something else!

I think I gave you more information than you were looking for, but I hope some of it can help you!
