    Happy Friday all! Another weekend is here. What is everyone’s plans?

    I am going to get some cortisone shots today in my hips and shoulders. That should keep my arthritis quite for awhile. I am getting my hair done on Saturday. The rest of the weekend is making sure we have everything for our trip to Newfoundland. I am starting to get excited. I still will be on here as much as ever when on our trip.

    I was really worried when I got on the scale Monday and had a four pound gain. All that dining out apparently caused me to retain water. Not perfect but I’m getting back on track.

    I am reading my monthly edition of the Downhome. I moved to Ontario from Newfoundland twenty years ago. I still miss home every day. This magazine gives me a little taste of home. Whether it is little stories, pictures of icebergs or Newfoundland recipes, I am in touch with my home province. It means the world to me to open my mailbox and find the Downhome waiting for me.

    Feeling I am in a good groove with my weightloss and have found a way of living that gives me consistent good results and isn't too hard to stick to. Met (and overshot) my goal for the month (I aimed to get to 214lbs). Met my goal to walk daily & incorporate fasting. Haven't achieved my goal to incorporate strength training twice a week - will try harder this week.
