No matter how bad my own diet is, I'm very strict about what my dogs eat. I'm always telling them "no you may not have (fill in the junk food blank) it's bad for you" while continuing to consume it myself. But then for them it's all healthy treats and supplements. I've even prepped them healthy human food treats like carrots, but then opt for chocolate myself. What's with that? Why can't I impose a healthy diet on myself?
Side note. One of my dogs has been having itchy skin due to allergies. The vet suggested some fish oil added to his food to help moisturize the itches. Holy cow (or should I say salmon) does that stuff stink!!! Can't believe he loved it.... But then, dogs are gross sometimes!
