Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? aqua size
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes3 -
Pass Day >3 - no deliberate exercise.
I was hoping to have a thoughtful post on motivating and encouraging others but the reality is that I am still struggling to motivate myself each and every day. This group has been the BEST in terms of support and accountability for me and I want to thank everyone that posts, especially when you share a bit of insight about your day. Thank you!5 -

June has been a crazy month - we've replaced 3 A/C units (our home, one car, and one of our businesses), someone wrecked a car I was borrowing from my aunt (totaled it out), and my transmission went out in our other vehicle (this Monday). I have been pretty positive about all of the challenges, so it's not bumming me out - but I think a lot of that has to do with my increased activity (and healthy - mostly - diet) making me more upbeat (endorphins, right?). So, while it wasn't a great day yesterday (or this past week), I am not upset, just taking it all in stride. I haven't ruined everything, I am not going to give up or go on a binge. I am just living life - and dealing with it as it comes. Here's to a great end to June!!5 -
@DreamAchiever33, life is sure handing you a lot in one month! You're inspiring me with your attitude and how you are handling it all. Hope things settle down for you very soon.3

Wonderful responses to the Question of the Day! Thank you!
I am going to implement them
Immediately.
Be the example.
They need to own it.
Comment on their successes/habit changes. Refrain from doing so on other items.
Keep prepared healthy foods.
Be excited & suggest walks/hikes in our case.
What worked for me likely won’t for them.
And my addition:
I believe that it takes a few times before obese people are successful in losing weight. Each time we learn more.
I believe each person has to identify at least one compelling reason they want to be healthier that will enable them to bypass more short term pleasures of their current eating/exercise patterns that are not working for them.
Kindness. Compassion.
As I read a long time ago in UAC...I think from @craigo3154 much of this comes down to self-honesty. No one will know if I eat 3 more almonds. I need to get to point where I deeply understand the value of self-honesty. Every calorie eaten counts. Not recoding it is only fooling myself.
People don’t ask me how I Lost 75 lbs & became transformed with excellent labs.
I’ve helped 2 ppl so far (one asked, one didn’t) mostly by directing them to the apps I use. I want to help others, but we can’t really unless they ask.
My plan is to maintain the rest of my life. This is the best way I can help them.
