1. EXERCISE EVERY DAY FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES.

Be active every day for the entire month. Even if it's just cleaning your house for 20 minutes, be active. Skip a cumulative 3 days of not meeting the activity, or calorie, or tracking or logging in requirements, and you are out of the winner's circle. If you are still committed to accountability...stay in the challenge.

2. CONSUME ONLY YOUR BUDGETED CALORIES.

Set a calorie goal for the day and don't exceed it. Eat ONLY your budgeted calories every day for the entire month. Skip a day and see #1 above.

3. TRACK EVERYTHING YOU EAT AND DRINK.

Keep track of ALL food and beverages consumed every day for the entire month. Skip a day and see #1 above.

4. CHECK IN.

Post in the "Sign-in" threads of this forum at least once every three days (preferably daily) to let the moderator know that you're still doing the challenge and that you haven't slipped up. Even if you are checking in only every three days, you still have to account for ALL days during the month. SIGN-INS ARE LISTED UNDER THE DISCUSSION SECTION - click on "All Discussions" if you don't see the current sign-in date displayed on the list. They're all there!

5. "3 PASS" DAYS

You are allowed three "pass" days for the month. You may use a pass day if you are unable to complete the daily challenge due to illness or other circumstances. There is a 3-day pass day limit for the month. If you exceed three pass days, you will NOT BE OUT of the UAC, but you will not qualify for the monthly Winner's Circle. If you need to use a pass day, report it in the sign in thread for that date. For example:

Date: (State the date)
Pass day

5. Post using the following format (feel free to copy and paste):

Date: (State the date)
Exercised?: Yes or No is OK, but if you are comfortable, tell us what you did and for how long. It's just more interesting!
Calories?: Yes or No
Tracked?: Yes or No

Account for every day of the month. If you can get to a computer only once every three days, your post needs to look something like this:

January 1
Exercised?: Yes. Walked at 2 mph for 30 minutes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.

January 2
Exercised?: Yes. Kicking it to Kid Rock and shaking it to Santana for half hour.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.

January 3
Exercised?: Yes. Active horseback riding for 55 minutes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.

6. Post only AFTER you have completed your day.

7. Every once in a while, stop by the "Introductions and Updates" thread and let us know how you're doing or respond to someone who has posted there.

8. Be honest. If you slip up, and EVEN If you are out of the Winner's Circle, you can still choose to continue to be accountable. for the month. All of this is done on the honor system. The moderator does not check diaries. If you choose to cheat, you are only cheating yourself.

Good luck!

@snowshoe072 sometimes a kick in the butt is needed - if it gets you going then run with it!

For daily tracking purposes (exercise, calories, tracking in mfp) from the July monthly challenge home area, scroll down, beyond the Introductions, Rules, FAQs and you'll see another section with each day of the month. Depending on your device you may need to "show more" or "expand" or scroll bar down further.

Open the day you are tracking for and you'll see many posts from members all specifically accounting for their success or pass for that particular day.

For me, even if I exceed my three pass days I continue to open each day in the month and track my progress. While I am still questing for the Winner's Circle by reading other posts I am building relationships, learning new things (today it was the definition of a word, lol), and most importantly holding myself accountable to try and make each and every day a healthier me.

My stretch goal for July is to use the "vote" buttons (like, hug, inspiring, etc.) on the posts that I read as a way to provide feedback and encouragement to others. A small thing, perhaps, but I'm thinking it might just make someone's day, you never know.
