@onwarddownward - You have to love yourself and be proud of who you are. I am only 22 and I realize all the effort and work the previous generations of LGBTQ folk have done to allow people of my generation to be able to really express themselves. I thank each and every person that have made that possible. However, a mindset and understanding that you will wear what you want to wear and act the way you want needs to come first. Then shmexy clothing.

I always feel like I had to come out twice- once as a lesbian and then again as butch. I actually didn't realize I was butch until somebody pointed it out to me

I wouldn't really say I am particularly butch or femme tbh, then again I live in a stupid small town surrounded by idiots who have a radar for anyone who isn't 'normal' and as I don't like drawing the attention I just blend in as much as I can. I have been told by ex's and friends that I have butch tendencies.0

I think you could have a bit of a point though. Something about the androgyny and being able to pull off both masculine and feminine at the same time 0
