Hello everyone! My name is Kai and this will be my second month doing the UAC. This challenge has helped keep me motivated and on track all but one day. I’m really glad that I took the plunge last month and joined up. I look forward to sharing the next month of my journey with everyone.7

Hi everyone! This will be my first time in this challenge but it looks like exactly what I need. Can’t wait to get started!6

This will be my second month in the UAC . . . it's an amazing way to reinforce accountability. I'm also in the X-Mas weight loss challenge; 22 weeks to go and I have 35 lbs to lose. If I can achieve that goal, I won't be at an ideal weight, but I'll be so much healthier.
Along with faithfully logging at MFP, I also walk everyday (my dog Rascal makes sure of that) and I get to the gym at least 3x/week. I am single and don't have any kids at home, so I also have time to go out dancing with friends which is another great way to stay active. I live in San Diego, California, so it's a great place for year-round activity.4 -
Hi, thanks for keeping the group going for so long. I am back after a break so I'm hoping this will refocus me :-) Good luck everyone

August will be my 21st month of participating in the UAC challenge with the goal being to live a healthy life. Welcome to all the new team members joining UAC for the first time in August, and to the "virtual friends" with whom I have become acquainted. I am privileged to be among friends who share a common goal!5

Hi! I am Michelle and this is my 2nd month! My goal for August is to continue seeing the scale go down as well as to continuing my paleo eating lifestyle (it is not as easy as I thought it would be, but necessary due to autoimmune disorder). Fitness goals are to swim 3 days a week, strength training 2 days and yoga 1 day.
Have a happy August!5 -
Hello, this is my first time in the group. Over the past 5 years I've gained 20-25 pounds and in the last year I've been trying to lose weight but it has been an up and down journey. My ultimate goal is to lose 20 lbs by the end of this year.4

I haven't been on MFP for a few years, but realized I need to track calories and exercise, and also need some accountability, so this group seems like a great thing! I've been cycling to work, which is 8km/5mi each way, but haven't done much to modify eating/drinking. Looking forward to this in August!4

I was a member of UAC in the summer of 2017 and it made all the difference in my weight loss journey. Life got in the way after that and I stopped using MFP. I started again in July of this year and immediately looked for UAC. I strive to make it to the winners circle in August!5

Hi! I'm Lisa. This is my second month with UAC. I'm 60 years old. I enjoy exercising and am blessed to live by the beach in SoCal. I'm ready to get back on track after a 2 week trip to Georgia to meet my grandson.🥰

Hi everyone,
This is my first time being part of the UAC group and challenge. I'm very excited for the accountability with logging. After using MFP for two years I was at a solid wight and 5 lb from my goal but after some vacations in June and July I gained almost 10 lb and am now 15 away. My goal is to be better at logging daily so I don't get tempted to overeat, and this challenge seems like the perfect way to do that!
Also if anyone is looking for more mfp friends feel free to add me-- this will help me stay accountability with logging as well7 -
Hi all. This is my 4th month participating in this challenge, and my 6th year on MFP. Love this challenge because the emphasis is on healthy habits rather than just on weight. I’m only a pound away from my original goal weight, but of course now that I’m almost there I see that I should go lower. I’m smack dab in the middle of normal BMI but still have a high bf% according to my scales, have too high a waist to hip and waist to height ratio, and my mirror concurs, I still have abdominal and visceral fat that needs to go. Looking forward to losing more of it in August.5

Hello, this will be my first month joining this group. This time around I really feel like I will be able to stay focused because this time I have a VERY strong support group with my family. August 30th is my birthday so I am very much looking forward to completing this challenge.6

there are many levels of keto and you can adjust the % to meet your needs. In last months posts it was brought out that there are new studies that show your diet may have little effect on your daily cholesterol. I found getting enough protein was difficult and key. As your protein % increases your carbs % decreases.1 -
Hi everyone I’ve just joined your group 👋🏽. I’ll sign in later to the Aug 3 thread. Done 20 mins of housework today 🏋🏻♀️. I stopped tracking last month and need to get back to tracking and maintaining a calorie deficit. I would appreciate all support and accountability spot checks.5

Newbie here, looking forward to a good month! I was on ww, but got tired of paying for little to No success. I figured if I don't lose weight, I can at least stop paying nothing! I'm going to gym tomorrow to try it out (no one on desk duty to sign me in today). So, here goes!6
