    Mornin' BBB.

Good luck today, Skip! With a wing and hoof out of commission you are gonna need assistance in getting your S'bux and whiskey.

Reservation made. DW sounded enthused. Maybe going to be OK. I bought the card, but it was kitchy cool.

DS#1 and fiancee have not set a date due to unknown graduation date from flight training. He has a couple of auxillary schools he has to do around flight school. Once he has a firm completion date, they'll make a wedding date.

Saw one of his middle school buddies with his dog the other day. Nice kid but dang it, he is now 30 years old. Made me feel ancient.

Lisa, meant to comment on "The Art of Racing in the Rain". Sarah Jane blogged on it. Enjoyed it immensely. I thought it was a good read and had a good message, especially with humane euthanasia, but was a bit put off on the reincarnation thing. I look forward to seeing the movie.

Glad subbing went well, Sam. Hope DMIL is OK.

    Good Morning Everyone

Wishing good outcomes to you Skip! Rest and relax, heal up!

I haven't been on the HD all year. I think he should sell and buy a pontoon LOL

Enjoy Denver Steph, the beer tastings look fun!

I started at 6am today and am going put some extra time in Th, Fri and Mon. I head out from office noonish on Tues to Chicago leaving on a jet plane to Columbus, but I do know when I'll be back again (returning Sat a.m.). I am going take some pressure of DS1 and pack up his apt while he finishes his last week of work. He'll drive me to airport on Sat morning, I'll head back home, & he'll drive onto Denton TX (via a stop in Memphis for the nite) and start his next chapter. Crazy to realize it'll be almost 15 years to the day, that I moved him to Columbus.

Im very thankful to all of his close friends and their families there that have welcomed him into their lives and homes, and over for holidays etc. he couldn't make it back for, etc. They've become life long friends. I'd like to do something for a couple of them? Any ideas?

    Be happy, be safe BBB

I agree about the great messages in that book, Lee! There were several powerful bits of wisdom ... about staying in the moment, about facing the future instead of the past, about doing what you can and letting go of what you can't, about the truth of human nature in general.

I've got my last workshop of the week today, then Bible Study. Actually, we may be forgoing our regular study tonight. One of our members is filthy rich and just bought a brand-spankin-new 26' fun-cruising boat, fresh off the assembly line. If the group isn't too big, we're going to wait about 10 minutes so that everyone can arrive (and to be there for any potential newbies) and then go with him for a sunset ride instead of our regular study. We can totally talk about the Bible on the lake while the sun sets behind us! In fact, it might even enhance the discussion.

Well wishes in the elbow procedure today.

Mary you are so talented with color selection would it be in the budget to give flowering pots(and do you have time to make them?). Or a thoughtful card with a serving platter. My guess is he is the only stray they pick up. Have a great week helping him with is next chapter.

    Good Afternoon,
    Glad all went good Skip,
Is the blush DW's or DMIL's?
Boating at sunset or sunrise, the beauty and awe
DMIL would not go to urgent care yesterday, she waited till she was on bus to senior center and ask them to take her to urgent care. DW is peeved with her, does not bother me. They re-bandaged arm and told her they could x-ray finger but there is nothing they can do for it except put in splint or take to adjoining finger.
We've talked to doctor about her drinking, at 91 doctor feels we are not going to change her,
in her defense I never saw her drink till she was in 60's.
What mothers will do for their sons, of course dads seem to go overboard for daughters; reckon it works out.
Another yoga class this afternoon, I want to drop one of classes, gym has requested I wait a few months.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam
