Fitbit Inspire Question

I had the Fitbit charge but replaced it with the inspire since the charge just stopped working one day.
I notice that I can select certain exercises on the face of the Fitbit, but what if I’m not doing one of those? The charge would automatically recognize exercise after a certain amount of time, but Ive been testing the inspire out and it never automatically recognizes me exercising.

I think the Inspire is a step down from the Charge... I've noticed it's kind of hit or miss in sensing if I've been on a bike ride.2

I have one and in the settings mine was set to recognise exercises 15 minutes into it, I changed it to 10.
So far it's picked up my walks.
Pushing my children in the pushchair as outside bike and during some gardening, it said sports when I was raking.
It's my first Fitbit so unfortunately I'm unable to compare to another one.
