Non scale victories are as important as both weight loss and maintenance success.
Since I am in the desert this week, it has been a great chance to test my fitness changes since last April. I am delighted to share that I am able to fluidly climb and descend the nearby desert mountain trails. In addition, I am motivated to kick in to my indoors cardio and lower body strength program. I know my current level of fitness and I want to be even more fit for hiking here when we return in January 2020.
What about you? What are you happy to report?

On the 6th of October I took my final pain medication pill for my herniated disk ... it took me 18 months from my highest doze to being pill free when the docs told me it could take 5 years and some people never get off them. So its a win in my books to be off early .. I am not seeing any bad effects .. so touch wood thats me finished
another NSV (im calssing it as NSV because 2 years ago i would not have considered this) .. we just booked a hoilday to the highlands of Scotland next year, in July, where we (as a family) are going to try and climb the highest peak in Scotland .. Ben Nevis in Fort William .. its about a 3 hour drive from home so we will be staying in a villa for the week and do some other activities

NSV: weight has been slow to come off but I have persevered and have focused on fitness and general well being. The payoff has been that I am leaner, have better endurance, and just feel pretty darn great.4 -

3 X’s yes. 4 hours of gardening and 1hour kickboxing class. Well under on calories and tracked it all.
All of my victories are non scale lately. I’ve only lost about 3 pounds since July but I’ve lost inches.
This month is my one year anniversary at the gym. I had never, ever worked out before, in 41 years. I literally was an advanced honors student in high school that did not graduate because I refused to take gym. (FYI once you go to college nobody cares if you have a ged).
Every time I walk into the gym it’s a victory!!!6 -

Taking a pass day along with several pass days for several days of travel. Happy to report the birth of my first grandchild. A little girl. This was followed by an out of town work conference. Life has been hectic and I just lost track of things. With that in mind, I guess my non scale victory is signing back in here and simply getting myself back on track again.6 -

NSV: I’ve been having a friend visiting. Typically, I’d go way over my calories and skip the gym. But not this time. And I’m still enjoying her company :-) Very proud of myself.
Also, a couple coworkers that I hadnt sent seen in a while told me I looked really nice, but they couldn’t really pin point what it was. We talked about my hair, but I’m sure my loosing 10lbs and being healthier was part of the equation :-)

NSV I'm finally able to login to the community part of my fitness app!! Lol
Yes x 3 for the last three days. I've been able to log but the app has been buggy.
The real NSV for today is how friggin tired I am, but I'm still going to workout and stay on track with food. Work is crazy, guests are in town, I'm about to start a move to an entirely new city... But hubby and I have decided to not let these excuses get in the way of our food prep and workouts. It's gonna be a rough month but I'm ready!!9 -

I am back! Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. We sure did and as a result I will not be in the winner's circle this month but I am back and intend to continue to log in each day. My NSV would be not giving up completely after the week I had. I am getting back on track before I lose my progress...

Rick's question about a non-scale victory: I'm happy to report I'm no longer in pain from my injured knee/leg. It's about 90 percent well now. I plan to go out to the nearby national park tomorrow for a small hike (it will be the first time I've set foot there for 3 weeks). Small means under an hour.6 -
