Chronic Pain since Dec '00

__ I joined Overeaters Anonymous in Oct '98 at 260#. My life sucked and I wanted to die. I drove an hour each way to a meeting once a week, became abstinent right away by not eating sugar & flour, and released 95# in 9 months. All of a sudden my binge drinking and pot smoking got out of hand so April '00 I became clean and sober. Then I had a horrific accident in Dec '00. Reader's Digest version: medically induced coma for 25 days, no brain waves on the EEG machine so they were going to pull the plug. Then they said I would be paralyzed and when they knew I could move, they said I would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
__ So, fast forward to today: I got the Bright Line Eating book by Susan Peirce Thompson, PhD 12 days ago and have been following the food plan imperfectly [there are no closer words to my adherence than that in the Thesaurus.] since. I am 4# down and weigh in is Wed. My brain has almost completely stopped obsessively calling for s&f. That is the victory for me! The weight loss is a bonus.
