Up and at it - heading to Orlando, actually Kissimmee, for work stuff.
A friend is coming over to let Jack out around lunchtime.
Tom is up north - we miss him.
Steph - Love the pics.
Lee & Lisa - I agree with genetics and I feel that diet is a huge factor, just like with humans.
Sam - enjoy the Smokeys - such a beautiful area.

This 6am alarm is killing me. But our walk takes over two hours and it gets hot by 9am so...

Nap planned this afternoon then heading to Aguadilla to walk the boardwalk and watch the sunset.

Mornin' BBB.

Babe and BTG are running a trial in upstate New York today. I am staying home so as not to distract Babe. Per BTG, "she loves you too much". He also wants a pup out of her, so I think he has fallen in love with her as well.

Its OK. I have lots to do at home. Frost on the pumpkin last night. Had to cover the lemon tree and hibiscus.

Safe travels, Raine. That area has gotten insanely over populated. From what I have read, in humans the most important dietary factor affecting the incidence of cancer is over eating.

Enjoy your home-day, Lee. And thank you for the information! We do our best with our 4 legged friends ... I hope they never hurt. Lily is currently sleeping on my leg, which seems to be her favorite spot.

We have Anabelle coming today and staying until tomorrow. One of Jim's work friends who has 4 kiddos (3 with disabilities, both mental and physical) is having their big annual kids' party today. They've made it a Halloween party this year! Jim and I always go help out, and this year we're taking Anabelle. We all have costumes, too ... Jim is Buzz Lightyear, I am Little Bo Peep (the version from Toy Story), Jamie is Jasmine from Aladdin, and Anabelle is Belle from the Christmas Beauty and the Beast. Then tonight I'm hoping to stop by Hobby Lobby and pick up some craft supplies and make Halloween things with Anabelle. We haven't had her overnight in quite some time ... we want to make the most of it! We'll probably take her to a movie, too. I heard Abominable is really good, so that's my first choice.

Spending the entire day at a church retreat at a local lake. I'll miss the Ducks' game, this evening, but that's OK. I really enjoy the fellowship with the people from our church, too. I am in charge of building the bonfire, this evening. Pray it doesn't rain.

• Hallelujah the heatwave is over! 101° high yesterday. Expected high of 78° today.
• Braves, Nats and Yankees won yesterday. I guess we should include the Astros but I'm not sure if anyone here cares. It might be Lou's new team but my experience is you can never get the Cubbies out of Chicago expats.
• Headed to a fancy birthday party for a neighbor this afternoon in a local Inn. I'm told I have to take a shower and everything.
