Congrats, Lou!!!!!!!! Woo-hoooooooooooo! I hope you sleep in today! And Subway cookies are my absolute FAVORITE - you earned it, BABY! (One day I picked up 3 - one for me, one for Jamie, one for Jim. But they unexpectedly weren't home when I got there. So I ate them all. They're 10 SP each. Ugh.)
Water is good, Raine! And I see some pretty brick in that photo, too ... I can't wait to see the finished product!
Dave, your home state is SO GORGEOUS! Every photo looks like a postcard. (Do those even exist anymore? Hmmm ... maybe I just dated myself.)
You are always so creative, Mary. What will you be doing with the dried flowers?
Did you watch the show, too, Dennis? A bunch of my friends were so excited about the movie, but I've never watched the show so I'm neutral on it.
Hi Bob! How have you been lately?
Ok, Sam ... 1. WW, 2. Yogo Instructor, what are the other 2?
Steph, he's such a cutie! I hope he has a home, too.

Busy day today. I have my 4 workshops, plus a video group meeting thing for WW, plus doing some work after the 4th workshop with a sponsee. My usual 12 hour Wednesday will be closer to 14 today. But, tomorrow is back to normal. I can do this! Hugs all around!

    Good Morning BBB.
Lisa - that is not our house that you saw in yesterday's pic - that is a new house going up across the canal.
    Here is ours - unpainted.

I love it! What color will it be painted? Is it stucco?

It's stucco and it will be a grey with white trim. Here is the model - ours will have a dark pool cage and pavers.

    Mornin' BBB.

Lovely home, Raine. So good you have a deep well, I believe that translates into better water.

Lisa, I wish I had your energy. If I did have your energy then ingestion of the probable equivalent of 3 subway cookies yesterday would be less worrisome.

Long day yesterday. Started with an end of life house call. Ended with another. (((sigh)))

Tess gets her splint off today. Probably will sport a soft cast for a week as her foot gets used to supporting weight again.

    Good morning BBB crew.

Wonderful house progress, Raine. It looks as though your new house sits atop a big hill, too (in Florida).

Congrats to NATs fans. Now the Mariners stand alone: the only team in MLB to never go to the World Series.

DW is under the weather; testing my nursing skills and bedside manner.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • The Nats absolutely dominated the NLCS. If the Astros and Yankees battle out the ALCS they could have a good long rest.
    • The house is truly taking shape Raine. Looking good.
    • I had to snicker at your comment Dave about the house sitting on a hill (but it does). I once had a t-shirt proclaiming "I Climbed Mount Dora" which has an elevation of 184 feet.
    • Lisa, I have seen most episodes of Downton Abbey. If you live with my DW you don't have much of a choice.
    • One of Sam's other jobs is substitute teacher.
    • We had rain yesterday. Not a lot, but we had rain.

    Morning BBB

Slept terrible last night for no good reason. Nap time coming soon. Retirement is good.

    Congrats Lou

Raine I can't believe how fast the house is moving.

Grandma and Grandpa spent the first night in their new home. Grandpa was fine which was unexpected since he is usually kinda out of it and aggessive but grandma was so anxious she actually stayed in his room instead of her apartment. I'm not sure rheybhavw ever been apart in the 40 years they have been married. So glad it is going smoothly. For the last year or so Grandpa packs a suitcase every day wanting to go home. Maybe this move will stop that. He does think my dad is moving into their house. He is taking care of it but not moving.

    Good Morning BBB

All homes on a hill, even a slight hill have my approval, during rain season its a must. This coming from a past wet basement homeowner!

Nice home Raine - progress !!! Is Tom's new shop there too, as well?

Steph, I think Ron wants a puppy!!! ;)

Im still looking for a side hustle! Maybe a rent a daughter (to help the elderly) , rent a Aunt (help with kids), rent a helper - errand running, take your elderly dmil to her appt, etc. etc. Would folks pay someone to be their helper in their everyday over extended busy everyday life? Maybe a holiday shopper, gift wrapper, party helper, etc. etc.?

We have a wedding two hour drive away, in a small town this Sat. for SO's employee that he feels he needs to attend, and asked me to be his date. Road trip! Fall colors should be prime and falling fast here after!

We have a movie gift card almost a year old, we need to use it!

Nice photo Skip - congrats to the Nats! Surprised potus hasn't taken credit for their success yet LOL. Or has he?

Be kind, be safe, be happy and have a great day BBB !

Mary people absolutely pay for all of those.

I have a former coworker that only worked so she could pay for a pooper scooper, housekeeper, personal shopper (before grocery delivery was a thing) and someone who prepped meals. She also paid someone to take her daughter to and from school.

    Hi, folks.

I got an extra 20 minutes of sleep last night!

Otherwise, I've just been doing the stuff you can only do on weekdays like going to get pants hemmed and such.

They did Taco Tuesday, took a group out for drinks after work and had the staff cartoonist do a pic of me as a farewell gift. They did it right.

Mary, there are folks that will pay for light bulbs to be changed, homes cleaned, someone to drive them to doctor, bank or store; pay their monthly bills, wash their clothes, prepare meals, some families will pay someone to go by daily and check on elderly daily and let them know if anything is needed. Folks want to stay in their homes as long as possible, having someone to do small things for them allows them to stay in their homes longer.
Skip, I'll congratulate you on your Nationals even though you abandoned Braves after many years.
    Raine, house is looking great!
Lisa, WW and you know they are always looking for someone to fill in, yoga at Madison and Lake Oconee plus subbing at high school.
Dave, hope Rita is just making sure you are up to par for caring for her after surgery
Steph, hope grandparents adjust quickly; it's hard to disrupt life as we age.
Lou, hope you have a few days to enjoy life before hitting the grind again
Lee, hope all employees are supporting sale for a smooth transition; sorry about losses but as doctor friend says all will eventually die.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam
