This is an almost sundown photo looking down from a mountain side into the Rio Reventazon Valley near Turrialba, Costa Rica. I will post a couple more photos. The afternoon was overcast and windy.
I did 90 minutes walking through the rainforest today. The sounds of the oropendola were everywhere.9 -
As I hiked down the mountain trail,

This is what a vacation should look like! It’s cold and unpleasant in Chicago. It’s warm and delightful here. This is Doña Ana Tortos our host and friend. Her husband, Joaquin built this mountainside cabina. He was born 75 years ago, just down the mountain from this spot.

A huge lapse in logging and being careful and paid for it 😥.... back to the start with my weight... ive put it all on again.

Had my first slip-up all week today, when the nice granny across the street brought us a few slices of cake and I ate one. Oh, well. That's what tomorrow is for.6

And I'm on holiday! Two weeks off (although I'm staying in town and am on standby for assisting with stranded seals during this period). I get a break now because I work during the peak summer season when most people are off.
I started today with rehab at gym (adding some stuff to strengthen my back which is yet another area that is too weak at the moment) then off to work. Got attacked by a penguin and have cuts all over my hand (needed to tube medicine and force feed as the meds reduce appetite) and was viciously attacked by a branch as well. I think it was protecting the kittens our animatronic dinosaur produced because I was climbing around in his space to feed the kittens so we can catch them to relocate as they are a threat to our other animals. I have a nice splinter in my foot now.
Under calories and OK for choices for the day.
Did my Aunty duties by going to watch my niece play her French horn at a carols thing in a park. My nephew was so grumpy he refused to even acknowledge my presence but he had fallen asleep in the car and was unimpressed at being woken up.

Exercise: Yes, walked 35 minutes moderate pace and 25 minutes briskly, through a very autumnal Montpellier; no, it's not really winter here.
Calories: Yes, stayed under, wasn't really hungry. I did make a lunch box for tomorrow though, as the place where I'm examining has got a restaurant serving lovely but hugely stodgy food and generous portions, far too many calories. No shops or other restaurants nearby.
Tracking: Yes, logged everything.
Went to see a play this afternoon, with some friends, really funny. Even though I was tempted to slob around at home today after yesterday's long working day, getting out and about did me a lot more good.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, a 30-minute dog walk (walked my neighbor's non-leashed trained dog farther than usual and got him to jog with me. Only seven pounds, but he pulls like a horse), plus another longer walk for myself.

Did better with intermittent fasting today (didn't break down into the fast and have an unplanned snack).4 -

Today I had two walks, one before church in the cold and another neighborhood walk with a friend, for 17K steps. Food and tracking were spot on.
The prior two days I have been in full Operation-Thanksgiving mode. Shopping, cooking, pies for church sale, table setting. Tracking and minding my intake were put aside5 -

Yesx3 and exercise was 1 mile walking dogs (that was a fiasco as weiner dog got out of his harness and scared Momma half to death running toward traffic) then I ran 5k (plus about 3/4 mile cool down walk home) then I put up 2 Christmas trees (not decorated but assembled).2
