Morning~
Hope Ron gets his peepers fixed!
Island time.....I used to like that when traveling to Pacific and everyone was late for meetings. "Island Time" they'd say. I'd rebut with - you now have 35 minutes to tell me everything I need to know! Hmmmpppphhhhh
Election results in VA were not what I'd hoped. We are in a very dangerous place as a society. Someone killed in a local Popeyes over a *kitten* chicken sandwich! Humanity? Gone.
Melancholy morning.

Good morning BBB
3rd snow fall in a week overnight. SO was picking up leaves in dark last night. No fall season here. Winter weather watch til 9pm.
Last snow fall was late too- April 20, 2019. First snow fall Oct 30, 2019. 6 month's apart. Where'd our 4 seasons go?
Annual HOA mtg tonite might yield low attendence. No voting open anyway. All board terms til 2021. Just a run through financials and new budget. Short & sweet.
Best get ready and on the road, it'll be a slow ride in.
Hope Rita, Lou, Emma are all on upswing and feeling better.
Neighbor got an 8wk old Whoodle puppy. Cute. Never heard of it. Wheaten terrier and poodle. Seems the poodle gets around ha.
Be safe, be happy BBB
Have a good day

Good morning.
Up early again for no good reason with a LONG day of apartment and condo hunting on tap.
And, I have a new appreciation for my contact lenses after not wearing them for so long. I struggle to find the right spot to hold my phone to read.0 -
Good morning BBB friends.
DS called yesterday and told me he had an extra ticket to the Sounders' MLS Cup match, Sunday, and asked if I would like to go. Rita says she will be fine, so I will be one of the 69,000+ Emerald City Supporters. The tickets sold out in 20 minutes, when they went on sale. Tickets with an $80 face value are going for as much as $2,000. So this is a big deal, up here. I'm excited.
Rita asked me to take her for a walk, yesterday, so we took a slow stroll around the block. It was great to get her out in the fresh air. And I managed to make an acceptable pot of pork sinigang (a soup with pork, green beans and bok choy, in a tamarind flavored broth) for supper. Things continue on an upward plane.

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Skip, I've heard the average lifespan of a democracy is about 200 to 250 years. Yep, ours is about to be toast. (Yes, our government is a republic and not a democracy but close enough).
- The only thing on our ballot was the renewal of a SPLOST (special purpose local option sales tax). It adds a penny to our sales tax. We are told that 65% of our sales taxes are paid for by visitors to the lake and the local Ritz-Carlton. If the referendum fails property taxes would probably see a significant increase. Unfortunately I have not been able to find the results anywhere.
- Mary, I use the built in router that comes with my cable-modem. Not my preferred way of doing it but it works so I'm okay with it. If you can hard-wire an ethernet cable from your router to your TV that is the preferred method. It is always better than wifi. I like Linksys routers but there are other good ones. Make sure it supports the 'AC' standard which is faster that the old 'G' or 'N'. As the President of the HOA find a neighbor that is knowledgeable and enlist their help. Once again, go hard-wired if you can.
- Emma continues to improve. Hopefully Rita and Lou are on the mend too.

Morning BBB
Glad Rita is doing so well. A walk and an afternoon alone sound like good progress.
No big plans today. There is a place nearby with $1 mojitos for happy hour so might do that.
We were without power for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. It is expected here so not a huge deal. But longer than usual with over 2 hours.0 -
•Gosh Mary sifting through all the Kitty Litter in her office and Lee getting Pheasant Poop all over his hands. What is this board devolving into.
•Wow Dave your sinigang filipino soup sounds quite wonderful.
•Sadly Dennis makes a point about governments. I actually went to a symposium titled "Is America Possible" years ago. I want to say it was in the mid 1970s and the feeling wasn't that optimistic as the country was growing in size. Many of our problems are greatly exacerbated by sheer size. Small isolated towns can often come to reasonable solutions to many problems and in the past smaller states too. Now-a-days they just stab ya for making the wrong choice over a chicken sandwich at Popeyes. Sheesh.
•Oh Steph ya had me at "Mojito". Not sure if it was the wonderfully muddled one I had on the beach in Cadiz Spain or the attractive young lady who made them but it was a special time for my first one. Sadly I couldn't have more than a taste of one these days.
Hey do good be good !0 -
Good Evening,
Glad Rita is better,
I have to wonder what people are thinking, know a history teacher who retired two years ago and ask whats wrong with socialism, but it does help me understand where our youth are coming from; cannot blame them. Yet she complains about the amount of taxes she pays.
We did not have anything to vote on.
Lou, hope you can find a condo; Austin market reports to be hot
Glad Emma is improving,
When I went to work at Fulton County as one of their tokens my manager told me I needed to get use to CP time, always allow at least 30 minutes extra and for religious services a minimum if 45 minutes. Her husband was the 1st black Republican mayor in Georgia and she was treasurer for State Republican party.
