Good morning.
It's 4:30 and I can't sleep. 😴
Put in an offer on the place I liked on Sunday. I expect a counter.0 -
Mornin' BBB.
New Whip-https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=new whip
Skip is hip with a new whip.
Closing went well. Not sure what I was signing nor how many times I signed. Lawyer supervised so hope it was all kosher. Wrist is a little sore. CEO and his VP and director of operations and acquisitions came along for dinner. Purchasing our practice is the first of hopefully many for them.
Kelly, the contract calls for DW and I to work for the practice for 3 years. I hope to continue longer at least until I hit 65 in 6 years.
Sending love and hugs to Rita too.
Healing prayer for Raine.
Good luck, Lou!

Morning~
CONGRATS, Lee! Hope you are able to keep the staff calm through this adjustment. How's Tess' foot?
New Whip arrives at the doorstep today (fingers crossed).
Coming down with flu bug. Ugh.

Good morning.
Congrats Lee!! Hope the transition is smooth. When do they “ take over?”
New whip pics please
I have an old whip and I like it. Like Dave I seem to keep a car for quite a while.
Back hurts worse after going to chiropractor. I go back tomorrow. Rethinking that.
Raine, how’s that eye?
Good luck Lou
Cold here.
I’ll cbl0 -
No whip; no pics.
The goal is delivery today. Having some aftermarket stuff bolted on today - should be done by 12p and they'll drive it up to me thereafter.
Not a fan of chiropractors. One experience and he made me worse.

Good morning BBB crew.
Having you and DW still in the practice should make the transition easier for the rest of the staff, too, Lee.
I never heard the term whip before, either. Must be a regional thing. Enjoy, Skip.
I've never been to a chiropracter - grew up with a dad who comdemned them as quacks, and their patients as gullible suckers. The Army added chiropracters several years back, for treating active-dury soldiers, however. They have found that soldiers with back injuries recover quicker and gain back more strength when treated by chiropracters, than those who just receive traditional physical therapy, so maybe I need to rethink my prejudice.
Rita's visit with her neuriosurgeon went well, yesterday. She should be able to take off the big brace in another month, or so. Her progress is all that was hoped for. To celebrate, I will attempt to make mung bean soup, in the Philippine style, today.0 -
Good Morning,
I must be one of the older ones who do not understand term of "whip" to make one sound younger in reference to auto. Waiting for pictures.
Have used chiropractors and believe in what they can do; but as one told me if folks would take stress out of their life it would eliminate 90% of my practice. I have found yoga helps keep me out of chiropractors offices.
Gotta go while help is here

Morning BBB
Congrats Lee. And beat wishes on acceptable counter Lou.
Im not into cars. I wish we didn't have to own one. However as successfully got our car tags and inspection completed this morning. Had to pay a little extra since we don't have a printer and they need paper copies of proof insurance and the renewal papers. Happily emailed them and paid $3. The inspection part coat $11 and no one even looked at it. Now to just get it into our name. Seller thinks her house is sold and she has to come back for closing so will do it then. Both parties have to go to courthouse together to sell.0 -
I get a kick out of those trendy new terms, especially when I say them BEFORE my kids do! Then they have to rethink what it means to be cool ... ha!!! My favorite phrase of all time is my Dd23's: "I'm smellin' what you're steppin' in." HA!!! (it means "I understand what you're saying.")
I hope it's crazy-awesome, Skip!
Yay for Rita's progress! I hope your soup is exactly how you want it to be.
I keep cars for a long time, too, Kelly ... at least until we pass them down to one of our kids. My last one was a 2012 and I LOVED it. I now have a 2015 of the same make and model, but it's uglier: gray instead of red like my other, no sunroof instead of having one like my old car. It has more bells and whistles and runs great, but I can't seem to get past the ugly. I try to remind myself that I'm grateful to have a reliable vehicle.
I got most of my Christmas shopping done this weekend ... mostly online. I hope the box snatchers stay away from my house this week! There's a lot being delivered. Our family just keeps multiplying! Did I tell you all the news about my daughters? Dd23 is expecting in April, and we just found out that she's having a BOY! A BOY, people!!!! We haven't had one of those since Jim was born! Dd28 is ALSO expecting, in May for her, but we won't find out what she's having until January. A BOY!!!! And they're naming him after Jim.
And speaking of Jim, he's been having some possible heart issues. He had a stress test yesterday, and we're hoping to have some answers in the next 48 hours. He got put on high blood pressure meds. You just don't expect this from a 50 year old 6'1" guy who weighs 160 and runs half-marathons. He said he was the youngest one in the office yesterday!

Skip, is it an electric whip?0
-
Good morning
It's good Jim is getting medical care! Wishing him all the best ! Congrats on more babies Gramma! Maybe twould boys, to even it up!
I like nice cars, absolutely. I just dont like to pay for them. So my lil 2015 Escape works and is in my budget.
I've been putting away fall decor last couple nights, to start transitioning to Christmas decor, since Thanksgiving is so late in Nov. Going be a decorating weekend at home, while cooking a pot of chicken soup.
Good luck Lou!
New Jeep Skip, or is it a Benzzzzz?
Glad Rita is doing good!
How's are the eyes Raine?
Lee, will it be hard for DW not to be in charge at clinic, or will she manage it still?
Have a great day BBB!

Wow Lee you are just a kid in my book! I too was skeptical of all things chiropractic unti8l I had one diagnose a missed problem with my lower leg just before setting off for a week-long ride termed "Cycle Oregon". Turns out I did not have a stress fracture etc but the tear of a minor portion of the achilles or related tendon structure. His recommendation of massage therapy ended a problem that plagued me for over a decade. I also had pain for over a year from having spinal fusion and a thoracic rib that was disarticulated from my spine (torn away). the chiropractor truly help fix that one too. Sadly this chiropractor is no longer available.
Hahaha I am with Lisa. I sooo wanted to make the "new whip" some sort of sadomastic ritual involving a "weench". I hope for the best with Jim too. I have been having some irregularities with my heart lately too.0 -
Good afternoon BBB friends.
- Busy morning starting with my Emmaus Reunion group followed by an HOA Finance Committee meeting.
- Came out of the meeting and there was a travel seminar with free lunch. Couldn't pass that up.
- Is Skip the Tesla type? What do I know? I didn't even know what a whip was. I was thinking more like Bob.
- We'll add Jim to the BBB prayer list. It's getting too long.
- Lou, "Your" Texas A&M Aggies are coming to Athens, GA this weekend. My next door neighbor who is a Texan has a daughter that goes to that fine school. I understand we are having a tailgate party in our front yard on Saturday.
