At least I'm back in. Not logged or kept to budget or exercises for two weeks now. Don't want to try the scales. Logged yesterday, over calories because lovely neighbour gave me an irresistible panettone. Still walked for 20 minutes+ though and logged everything.3

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes3 -
Fizzled way early this month.
Didn't even make it half way.
My nemesis - alcohol.
My habit is a soothing drink after an arduous exercise.
Then my tracking becomes kind of dishonest then just plain fizzles.
I like to think that I ain't drinking that much. Not like I got legal problems, marital problems or financial problems or health problems.
Tracking problems - Really, how important is that?
I gained weight this month. I do that every year. It takes longer and longer to shake it back off. How important is that?
I can't play this lament in front of most of friends or peers. They be all like "why?"
They think I am agonizing over something that shouldn't matter to a guy in my life stage.
Vanity? Do I think I am going to be a movie star?
Athletics? Do I think I am going to win a race?
Fun - don't forget fun. Gotta have a body that works in order to have fun. What's fun?
For all my whining and backsliding I did manage to get some exercise this year.
That Strava give me my year in sport review. My sport is bicycling. That slide kind of underestimates my actual because they cut off like on Christmas or so and I keep on climbing. I also lose a a few thousand when my watch battery dies in the middle of a climb.
I guess this is fun. Going outside and immersing myself in the company of dog walkers, marathon runners, coyotes, bears, deer, elk, woodpeckers and golden eagles.
... and a little boy that is always going to be a little boy who needs me to get stronger as he gets bigger.
Trail runner girl told me that her husband seen a mountain lion week or so back. I always wanted to see one of those. I express that, sometimes I get the reply "be careful what you wish for."6 -
