@w8goal4life observed that walking is something that we can always do .
Even though, it may not be 'sexy' or the current fitness fashion, this is the exercise that is the easiest to do anywhere.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes. 30 minutes walk, 60 minutes weight training
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Nope.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
I love walking. Come rain, come sun, come whatever - if I feel unmotivated to exercise, I go walking. If I've over eaten and feel like crap, I go walking. Happy, I walk haha
It helps that I have 3 young children. We walk everywhere. School, shops, after school actvities. I also walk to get me time. That takes me between 2 to 3.5 hours of non stop walking.5 -

Exercised?: Yes (5 km in 39 mins - hills)
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
Cooler temperatures again today. Managed to just beat 39 mins again today for the 5km. Walked after dinner again.
Personally an off and on day for me. Yet again productive, but at quite a personal push.
@RangerRickL. I'm not really into fashionable (My lack of dress sense gives that away). I find what works for me and do that. Walking has been one of those things.- It is free.
- It can be done anywhere.
- It does not require equipment.
- It does not require preparation.
- It is low impact.
- You can multi-task while doing it (read a book, learn a language, etc..)

@RangerRickL and @craigo3154, I totally agree with you! Walking is the cheapest exercise!7 -
Went over calories today, but lost weight since yesterday, worked out, and joined a couch to 10k training program that I'll begin on Monday.5

I got exercise in today. Rehab session and Jiu Jitsu class where I did technique.
Food did not go to plan but tomorrow is another day and I have a 4 day weekend. Need to do some shopping so going early in the morning and then no more malls until mid January! Then I'm going to roll with the boys and coach!7 -

Again, loved yesterday’s question!! After I posted I thought of so many more exercises I really like, and thought, wow, I like way more than I thought I did, haha. Almost all are weight lifting related.
Regarding walking for today’s post, for me, not sure I agree it’s the best. For me anyway, walking is kinda hard to do reliably because of weather and when there isn’t good infrastructure like all cement, or no sidewalks where there’s a lot of traffic.
I DO think getting in more steps/movement is an essential part of weight management, and certainly agree walking can be an important part of that3 -
Walking is a good standby. In winter, I walk round the house during ad breaks most evenings to top up my steps.

Dilemma: I have 5 potential pass days and we're only allowed 3, so I'm trying to figure out which of the five I can alter enough so they're not over days. We have 2 parties this weekend, one with a lasagna dinner and one with a potluck, a big family party here on the 22nd and then Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I think I'll try to control the potluck and eat lightly around it. It's at 2:00 in the afternoon so I should be able to just have a light breakfast and no dinner. I'll focus on protein and veggies and no dessert. There won't be any alcohol so that's a bonus...........LOL If I blow it on Saturday, I'll miss this month but I'll keep checking in regardless. I also think I might be able to control Christmas Eve, we're having turkey but I can generally keep things light. The kids are Gluten Free so not so many out of control carbs. I've lost almost 5 lbs and am on the high side of maintenance so I'd really like to finish out the year strong!

3x’s yes. Funny that walking would be the exercise of today, I spent about two hours walking briskly. I missed my classes today because my father in law had a medical issue- he is fine! When they took him in for tests I went for a long walk.
I enjoy walking and I think it’s great physically and mentally. I prefer to be in nature and hiking then just around the neighborhood. I don’t usually use walking as my deliberate because I feel like it’s just part of life. I often walk to yoga or the library, I walk my dogs 3-5 short walks everyday. I guess I’ve been taking it for granted how much I walk without thinking. One of the benefits of weight loss and health!!

Exercise: Yes. 60 minutes on the elliptical.

Exercise - walking! However, calories went awry when I ate a smallish but most delicious shortbread cookie. 300 CALORIES! Well, I would have guessed that had I stopped to guess, but nope. Just ate it. It had no nutritional value and afterwards I had the feeling of wanting more, not of true satisfaction. All in all this foolish impulse was not a win.4

Yesx3 Exercise included a walk break at work, quick dog walk, and 2 miles ran on treadmill.3

Exercise? Yes. 30 minutes on the treadmill. Plus shopping (5k steps of it).
Within my calorie goal? Definitely!
Tracked everything? Absolutely!
Walking is 95% of my exercising. My tendons and ligaments are shot, so I can't do a lot of other exercises. I really like being out in nature either walking or light hiking, but I don't get a lot of opportunities.

@craigo3154 One of my colleagues listen to books on Audible while he walks every morning. He has become an evangelist in sharing with others how much he enjoys the combination of walking on a boring treadmill while focused on listening to a book being read aloud.4

Plenty under calories today. And my exercise was walking - as much as I could handle in nearly -30 weather. Against the wind had my eyelashes frosted up but the way back home was more enjoyable. Walking is not always ideal in winter!3

Working nights this weekend (tonight is actually my Monday) and it should be relatively quiet so I plan to get in quite a bit of walking. Usually shoot for 5000 plus steps before midnight and by the time I crawl into bed around 6 I routinely have 6-7000 steps in already for the upcoming day.
