Just starting All Pro's, Diet Question

I have dabbled in weightlifting and working out in the past, but for the most part have lived a sedentary lifestyle, especially this summer. I'm tired of being ashamed of my body. Tomorrow I am going to start the Beginners routine. But I need some help with diet.
I am currently 18 years old. 5'10", 155 lbs and about 16% BF.
Also as far as nutrition goes, I just threw away all the junk food in my house.
Should I start out just eating at maintenance? I was planning on trying to get like 160-180g of Protein, 60-70g of healthy fats, and 250g of Carbs.
My metabolism doesn't seem that fast, so unfortunately I seem to put on fat easily.
Any advice or tips are appreciated.

Hello, welcome to the group! I would love to help you with your diet questions, but don't feel qualified enough to do so. Therefor I'm going to refer you to the Eat, Train, Progress group here on MFP: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/10067-eat-train-progress-
Read the stickies and then post your questions regarding diet there. Sara and Patrick (SideSteel) who lead that group are very knowledgable and can help you out :flowerforyou:0 -
