Mornin' BBB.
(((sigh))) Babe is out. Got the call from BTG yesterday afternoon. Judge sent her on a 100 yd plus retrieve and she could not find the downed bird. Disappointing because she was performing at a very high level and retrieves are probably the strongest part of her game. Billy believes it was wing shot and was able to run off before she could get to it. Sometimes if it wasn't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all. Shucks.
I have a mugging assignment. Thank you Steph.
Raining here most of the day. Hope it lets up so Tess and I can go birding.
Thanksgiving plans are ramping up. A friend has a young lady that he would like to introduce DS#2 to over the holiday. I've met her and she is a very nice and quite attractive in a quiet way. Very cerebral artist type. Who knows?
The transition at work continues.
Praying for Jim.

Good morning BBB
Wish I could say I feel better, but like Sam, I caught a bad cold. Got inside almost all decorated, heading to do outside once sun is up and it's gets to 30+F by noon or so.
Late Packer game, so I'll only catch first half before bed.
Sorry about the utility there Raine dragging your move in date out.
Dave, a little table top tree, a couple poinsettias might be nice and simple?
Have a peaceful blessed Sunday BBB

Good Morning BBB.
Lisa - continued prayers for Jim
Lee - give AB a big hug!!
Sam & Mary - feel better soon - colds suck.
Lou - congrats - so glad that house hunting phase is over.
RV park is filling up with snowbirds and so are the roads, businesses, and beaches.
Eye surgeon appointment tomorrow - expecting a great report - all seems to be healing.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Are you sure it's a cold, Mary? I'd heard that colds come on more gradually, while flu knocks you down in mid-stride.
Congrats, Lou! I'll be rootin' for NO poltergiests. Or at least benevolent ones.
How awesome that they decorate early, Steph! Do you have any decorations yet?
Sorry about Babe, Lee. That sucks. But, I'll bet she doesn't know she didn't win and I'll bet she thought the whole things was GREAT fun!
I'm so glad you're healing well, Raine! I hope it doesn't get too crazy full there over the winter.
I'd go for the paid for one, too, Kelly. Smart choice!
Skip, you'll put us all to shame with your mugging! Don't go too all out!
Enjoy putting your feet on the coffee table and hanging out in your tighty whities, Dennis. Order pizza EVERY night! HA! (but wear a robe for the delivery guy!)
That sounds really hard, Dave ... like depression, maybe? Maybe you could come up with something new and different for the holidays this year, that wouldn't feel like what she used to do but would still be special?
We had our Thanksgiving yesterday at Jim's sister's house on the other side of the state. It was nice! And it worked out really really well to do it then, because on Friday Jim found out he is going to SC for the next week, and he offered to take me with him and drop me off at my bff's house in NC. I am SO excited!!! We leave tonight right after church, and we'll be back next Saturday. My bff is making her famous savory brisket (her long gone Jewish Mama's recipe) for Thanksgiving for us, which I've heard about for years and SO wanted to try. Jim is going to meet us at her place for Thanksgiving. It's been a whirlwind of packing and preparing and getting subs (I still have 1 workshop that I haven't found a sub for and I'm panicking a little) and wrapping and getting care for dogs and shopping. But, aside from that one sub for that one workshop, I'm ready. I have about 9 hours to get that last thing figured out ... please pray that someone steps up to help, okay?

Lisa I supposed that is true at some level, but she knows that she doesn't get to come out and play the game that is still going on. Billy still has another dog competing in the trial. She will get a big hug when she comes home.
Now I cannot get the image of Dennis on the couch in tightie whities out of my mind.
I forgot to CONGRATULATE Lou. Persistence and patience usually pays out.0 -
Good morning BBB crew.
Glad the Texas housing crisis is at an end.
Hope all those suffering the crud improve swiftly.
We're goign over to DS's house for supper, tonight and she whomust be obeyed has decreed I will bake a pie to take along for dessert, to I will be in the kitched after church.
Rita is always a bit blue, this time of year. I have long thought she suffers from seasonal affective disorder. We have short days that tend to be dark and gloomy, up here. The neck surgery is just adding to the equation. I do all I can to cheer her up.0 -
Seasonal affective disorder is real. I wonder if a trip to the casino might be good medicine? And the grandkids, of course.0

Morning BBB
No Christmas decorations for us. I didn't have many before just a Charlie Brown tree, stockings on the mantle and a few other things. I worked retail for so long I just never felt like decorating when I was surrounded by it all day at the mall. And since we had no kids no real reason.
Lou so glad your house hunting is over. I'm sure a bug relief.
Ron has what we think is swimmers ear so going to medicine him up and lay low today. Thank goodness there is a Walgreen close to us.
Ron get the seasonal depression too. A big part of the reason we are here. Pretty much 10-12 hours of sunlight daily. We spend at least 3 hours outside daily.0 -
Good morning.
Sorry Babe didn't advance in the trials, Lee.
Still praying for Jim. Maybe tell him to skip the brisket just in case? No. That's cruel.
Why are you helping them study, Skip?
SAD is a thing. I can't do much about the sunlight, but at least Cecilia won't have as much of the cold too.
I ordered a pop up trundle bed and mattresses last night from Amazon to meet me in Texas. So, I'll at least have that covered when I get there. Tentative plane is for me to drive down with my life in the trunk of the car on 12/14. Closing is scheduled for 12/18.
Looky loos can see the listing here.

I'm THAT Professor. You know, the ones that will go the extra mile for the students (especially when they are buying the Starbucks)....
This is one my International Students from Indonesia. He's doing some great work on AI applications in Criminal Investigation. The work will likely be published with yours truly on the authorship column too- in academia - its publish or perish.

Good afternoon BBB Friends.
- The wife is away and I went to bed at 9:30 last night. I'm so exciting.
- No sitting around in tighty whities for me. I'm a boxer guy.
- Go up early and worked the screens at the early service this morning.
- Glad to hear Lou won't be homeless in Austin although that would have made a great country song.
- Sounds like a fun trip to the Carolinas Lisa. Enjoy.
- I used to always get depressed in December. All the pressure to do all the right holiday things was overwhelming. We've scaled way back. Don't expect a Christmas card from me.
- Get well Mary and Sam. I hope you get that good report Raine.
