I'll join you but I won't be able to start until Saturday. I'm away Tuesday to Friday this week without access to being able to do the workout. I was all game to start as soon as I got back. Does that work?0

I have started over again with 30 day shred. Today is day 1 for me.
SW: 167
GW: 130
Good luck to all!0 -

that is absolutely fine whenever you start good luck with it!0 -
Ok, yesterday was day 1 for me and I'm ashamed to say I am SORE today. Having a hard time even sitting down! Haha I decided to skip today (I know, I know we're supposed to plug through) but I did swim for a hour to stretch out and run two miles on my treadmill so at least I wasn't completely inactive. I will be doing it tomorrow again so hopefully you all won't hold it against me.

That's fantastic 3 pound loss a week is what I am hoping for Fingers crossed!! Although I have noticed my weight fluctuates a lot on a weekend and the best day for me to get actual results is a Wednesday! But im abit OCD and I like to do everything on a Monday! haha0 -
Okay, so I tried to do quotes from the post directly above me, but I'm "challenged" and it keeps coming up very different than what it should be. Basically....
I'm OCD also which is why I measure on Monday's. It's also why I'm considering staying on level 1 until Monday morning of next week. LOL0 -

Hi Girls
Everyone doing a great job so far. I'm starting tonight so would love to join you as I struggle with motivation, usually do well for a few days then stuff my face and ruin it all!!. I will weigh/measure in tomorrow morning and post so I can stick with you.
Lets do it!!0 -
Awesome job ladies! I will post my numbers tonight when I get home. Is anyone doing anything else besides 30 DS...running, biking, etc.? I wanted to get back into the habit of hitting the treadmill0
-
I bike, walk and don't necessarily do the 30 day shred only... I think I have 7 of her DVD's so I rotate between DVD's and levels so I don't get bored.0

I go to the gym most days and do biking/running or walking/classes, swimming and everything else. I don't tend to go when I'm at work cause I work nights so don't have much time but definitely go at least 4/5 times a week0 -
I also walk and increase the intensity slightly each week. Last week was 3% incline at 3.2mph, this week is 3.5%, 3.3 mph....length depends on my mornings, but it's generally 15-20 minutes then cool down for 5 minutes (2.5% incline, 2.8mph). After that, I follow up with lateral pulldowns and incline bench press. This week, I'm also trying to get in another 10-15 minutes walking at night.0

I love it! Maybe yall can help motivate me to go in the evenings. I think once I get my foot in the house my mind decides it doesn't want to exercise or leave the house and I shut down - time to put an end to that!0

Keep active when you get in your house! Don't sit down go and pack your gym bag, start preparing your meals or if you go strait home from work or wherever then skip the going home and go strait to the gym from work! Also tell yourself in the morning that you are going to the gym in the evening that way you will psych yourself up for it throughout the day and get your head around going ????0 -
Thank you so much for the motivation. I have a 3 year old so once I get home from work I'm trying to spend time with him while making dinner. Last night after he went to bed I prepared tonight's dinner so all I will have to do is pop it in the oven to heat up and then I can run over to the gym. Time to get my butt in gear!0

What about exercising in the morning? I too am a mom and value my evenings with my sons. I've reconditioned my body the past 4 weeks that I go to bed at 9, no later than 10 and get up at 4:30 (5:00 if I don't have morning meetings). That first hour is mine for exercising, straightening up the house, etc...then after that, it's chaos as we all get going.
I tried the evening workouts and it's MUCH more difficult for me, but when I do have the time, the boys and I go together. We walk to the school and they play on equipment while I lap the buildings and then we head home. Great exercise and lessons for everyone.0 -
So is anyone onto level 2 yet? I have just finished day 1 of L2 and my word I do not remember it been this hard last time around!!! Knackered is not the word! Haha!
How is everybody getting on??0 -
I started level 2 yesterday and OMG...I can feel it in my arms today. I didn't do it this morning, but I'll tackle it again tonight. My results for the week are a loss of 2.2 pounds and 3.5".
Waist - .5"
Hips - .5"
Left Upper Arm - 1"
Chest - 1"
Left Calf - .5"
Pretty happy with the results considering I took 2 days off and had to modify the workout some the past two days.
I have to finish this month out strong. My goal loss for another group was 10 pounds and I have .8 to go to be at goal, HOWEVER I would love to hit the next decade which is 2.9 pounds (& would put me at 20lbs weight loss).0 -
That's fab ???? I'm not going to weigh in or measure till Friday this week in hope that ill flush out all the extra crap I had at the weekend! Lol! You are doing fantastic keep it up!0

Finally got to level 2 today... Level 1, no big deal. Level 2... OUCH.
...
Good hurt.
I'm down a pound (whoopdedoo). I have to take measurements yet. However, I have had 3 people in the last week comment about my appearance... "Are you losing weight?" "you sure are looking toned!"
I'll take that validation!
Thanks for the challenge. Looking forward to level 2 again tomorrow!
No, really, I am!
:bigsmile:0 -
right well guys it looks like most of you have either lost interest or given up on 30DS and well here it is! I have too! I managed to complete 14 days of it (again), this is only how far I got last time before I get sooooo unbelievably bored I need to end it! I wont be stopping doing it altogether though!
One of the main things that annoys me with 30DS is the fact you have to do it everyday and get so sweaty that I have to wash my hair everyday and it has literally ruined it so I have decided that I am going to spruce my workouts up and make sure I do at least 2 gym sessions a week, at least 1 swimming session a week and at least 1 gym class a week, then I am going to combine the 30DS into this! Im not going to be continuing with the boring repetitive thing every single day but what I am going to do is at least 1 time a week do all 3 levels one after the other! I think this will really help my workouts as changing it up is what the body needs! doing the same thing everyday makes your body get used to it and I know for myself I need to do different things!
But anyway enough of my ranting I did take my measurements this morning and after 14 days here is what I managed!
So I started on 12th August and:
Weight - 163
Neck - 14"
Waist - 32.5"
Hips - 40"
Left Leg - 23"
Right Leg - 22.5"
Left Arm - 12"
Right Arm - 11.5"
Week one - 19th August:
Weight - 160 -3 pounds
Neck - 13.5" -.5"
Waist - 32" -.5"
Hips - 39.5" -.5"
Left Leg - 22.5" -.5"
Right Leg - 23" +.5"
Left Arm - 12" 0"
Right Arm - 11.5" 0"
28th August
Weight - 159 - 1pound = TOTAL so far 4 pounds
Neck - 13" -.5" = TOTAL -1"
Waist - 32" -.5" = TOTAL -1"
Hips - 39 -.5" = TOTAL -1"
Left Leg - 22.5" -0" = TOTAL -.5"
Right Leg - 23" -0" = TOTAL +.5"
Left Arm - 12.5" +5" = TOTAL +5"
Right Arm - 11.5" -0" TOTAL -0"
so I am going to continue doing weekly measurements just to see what progress I am making even though I wont be doing the 30DS everyday!
Good luck to all of you who are still at it! WELL DONE0 -
Here are my results from yesterday's measurements. I'm still doing 30DS, though I missed one day last week. I also am doing 15-20 minutes of interval training and some weights for arms only.
LOST
Weight - 3.5 pounds
Waist - .25"
Hips - .50"
Bust - .50"
Chest - .75"
Left Thigh - .50"
Right Thigh - .75"
Right Calf - .25"
TOTAL 3.5"0
