    Mornin' BBB.

Up early Lisa. You must have a lot going on today, as usual. Hope Miss Annabelle had a glorious day with her family.

Hope all had relaxed and wonderful Christmas as well as those celebrating Hanukkah.

We had a really nice visit at DSIL's and got smothered with gifts. Best part is that me pups were invited and although they were a little wild in the beginning but they settled down eventually.

Pretty funny story about you, Mr C, and the Sheriff, Skip.

Day off. Was supposed to go sea duck hunting but DW frowned on that since I have not completely recovered from flu. So am going back to DSIL's today to set up game and security camera system we gave her. Probably help clean up a little too, although it wasn't too bad by the time we left.

    BBB OP ;-)

How awesome that your dogs got to come, Lee!

So what were the best gifts at everyone's celebrations?
My friend got Jim and me tickets to see Lauren Daigle in March, which is AWESOME. I also got Jim tickets to Jim Gaffigan and another variety comedy show, within a week of the Lauren Daigle concert. March is going to be really fun!

Now we have Anabelle's birthday coming up on the 29th, and our anniversary on the 28th. Her party isn't until the next weekend, which is helpful. :) I bought a couple gifts for her, but her other grandma already gave her one of them ... a kids' game/camera watch. We need to decide if we'll still give her ours now, or return it and get something else. Hers was V-Tech, and ours is Apple, so they are slightly different.

Jim has some procedures tomorrow ... his regular throat scope/stretch and a colonoscopy. Fun fun. He's starving today.

    Morning

We survived. Little drama. A few quirky remarks that were obvious jabs but ignored. Glad they came. Glad they left.

My favorite gift - DW and I made a “love book” (google it) for DMIL that was a journey of her and her late husband. It was original to them with their own cartoon like chars HH tear and word bubbles we created. It was great to see how much she enjoyed that gift.

Today is DMIL birthday 86. So we are headed to a favorite steakhouse tonight.

    Dennis - nice pit!!!
Lisa - sounds like it was a houseful.
Lee - glad the pups got to enjoy time with everyone too.
Christmas on the beach sounds fun.

    Cheers

I have seen the love book. Great gift.

We didn't do gifts as long ago we decided to buy what we need/want as long as it fits in the budget. But the new backpacks and the planning for a hike are probabaly the closest to a gift in a long time.

Grandpa went to the hospital yesterday with a variety of issues.

    Good morning
Steph I hope your grandpa is ok

Prime rib turned out terrific. It really was a very nice day.

Back to the grind today. Need to clean up this place again. Spotless one minute a train wreck the next.

Lisa, I love Lauren daigle. Probably my favorite Christian singer. I actually was practicing singing one of her songs that really resonates in me. It’s called “ Rescue.” I think I’ve about got it too. Ha.

    Have a great 26th.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Glad Babe and Tess got to experience Christmas with the family.
    • Wow, sounds like Jim is getting it from both ends. Best of luck to him.
    • Ham was on our menu last night. Kind of a Christmas tradition here.
    • Watched the first 3 episodes of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel last night.
    • There is a motorcycle ride on the agenda this afternoon. Expected highs in the mid 60s.

    Good morning !

Today is my chill day! Yawnn.

I'm going to do some reading, no plans to leave house. I'm only one awake here now.

I got tickets for a date from SO for this Friday night to see the Transfer Sybrain Orchestra show! My guys got me a huge gift card to the garden center I shop, *yayyyy!!!! Spring planning in the garden has begun.

    Nice firepit Dennis !

Good Skip had a better than expected family visit!

Lisa you have a beautiful growing family for sure!

Kelly, left over prime rib philly sliders could be great!

    Steph prayers for Grampas wellness!

    HBD to Skips dmil!

Glad Lou took care of business!

Lee, they are treating the Mastiff puppy for mites, but not 100% sure if that's it?. Guess she was scratching her belly raw, crying out of control first couple nights... better now with vet treatment , rx etc.. Breeder didn't mention it until after the 12 hr drive to get her in NY. Then suggested they leave her there for a couple weeks, come back. They took her given long drive. Im atsounded at the price of this puppy. 3k, gulp, and comes with mites, gulp, gulp? Hopefully she'll be fine.

    Enjoy the day friends!

    Good morning BBB crew.

Best gift was watching my son play with my grandson after supper: wrestling on the carpet while little Andrew shrieked with laughter. Almost made me cry. When I see our son with his family, I know my life has been a success.

    Our little clan at supper:

Rita has an appointment this morning, so we need to get going.

    Good Afternoon,
    Beautiful family Dave,
    Lisa, great pics on FB
Jim must have really been bad to get probed from both ends same day what a terrible Christmas gift; if I had to do them it is better to get over with.
Lee, glad you are better but you do not want a relapse, take it easy for a few days
    Skip, Happy Birthday to DMIL
I want to be walking on beach where it is comfortable in just a swim suit
Mary, enjoy days off and date out tomorrow
Lou, are you off till first of year?
Raine, move in date still within 2 weeks?
    Hope Bob is feeling good,
Sanded some columns on lodge this morning, will paint tomorrow; insurance wants entire outside painted before issuing policy; requesting a waver till we have warmer extended weather,
Check engine light on car, got that repaired today
A sleep this morning, heard alarm on door go off; we have DGS for today and tomorrow; no one had told us plans were changed
Got DW a new lap top for Christmas, it seems to be drawing the worst out in her; may have to get Dennis to help get setup.

Sam, I work for food. Oh wait, based on current scale reading I work for free.
Let me know if you need assistance.

Squeezed in a nice motorcycle ride today.

Lice would make more sense, mites would be pretty weird in a puppy that young unless one of the adult dogs came in contact with a fox. Lice is pretty common in breeding kennels with poor husbandry.

$3K. Another $800-$1200 to spay when the time comes. Hopefully no orthopedic issues down the road.

Lee, I guess the mother dog got it, whatever it is and they couldn't treat her with being pg?. Then pups too young to treat? Im not sure, some of the story came

See her belly... so red and thats where she was scratching most...

Mites (sarcoptes) still doesn't make sense. Lesions on the pup would start where the pup was having the most contact with the mother, which would be the pup's face and front legs. Not the belly. Oh well, it sounds like whatever it is, it's under control. Cute freakin' puppy.
