Skip, I googled it and I wish I'd known about those books a few months ago! Tomorrow is our 28th anniversary, and it would have been a perfect gift. Maybe I'll do it for next year. Your dmil is beautiful and classy!
I'm saying a prayer now for your grandpa, Steph. Any news?
Kelly, I want to hear you sing that!!! I used a line from that song as a theme in one of my WW workshops for the holiday season. The topic was holiday parties, and the line I used was "you're not defenseless," ... meaning that there is always a tool, a resource, a strategy, a line of help, and a better choice that we can make. Sometimes we CHOOSE to play the victim, but it IS a choice.
How was the ride, Dennis? We had temps in the high 50's here, too. Thank you for sharing your weather with us for Christmas! We truly appreciate it.
Wow, Mary! Those are GREAT gifts!!!! Enjoy the show tonight! I'd LOVE to see them!
Beautiful family, Dave! I get it ... I get all emotional about my little ones loving their little ones, too. So far, Dd23 has asked me to be there when her first baby is born, like her older sister did for the past 2. i'm SO honored, and I know I'll be pretty emotional. Her older sister is pretty tough, but this one is more sensitive and tender.
We're getting ready to take Jim in for his procedures. The prep wasn't bad like everyone said ... it wasn't fun, but it wasn't awful either. This part today should be pretty easy for him. Now to pray that they don't find anything that shouldn't be there.0 -
Morning BBB
Got an email from Aunt this morning. Nothing new on grandpa. He had a heart episode and has some kidney failure. Nothing too unusual for those with dementia. They assume he will be in hospital for a few days then have to move to the nursing home side. So glad they already moved to a facility that can help.
Yesterday it rained most of the afternoon and evening and we were without power for a few hours. So sat on the patio and read my book. There is a generator here but landlord was out and he needs to turn it on from his apartment. If it has been longer I would have called him but I can live without power for awhile.

Morning~
A few things to do for work - but generally shaping up for an easy day.
Love the mastiff photo's! Gonna be a biggen'.....
Good luck Jim! I did the upper GI and colo'scope two weeks ago - not fun - but not too bad either. The prep today allows you to mix with clear gatorade. MUCH more palatable.....
TGIF - will likely go out with neighbor tonight. Prepping for houseguest on Monday for a week.

Mornin' BBB.
Working today. Still not 100%. But getting there. Sadly this flu is running through the rest of the clinic staff. I was either the second or third down. Only 4 more to go.
Good luck to Jim.
Prayers for your grandpa, Steph.
I agree with Lisa, those are some great gifts Mary. Enjoy!

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Good luck Jim.
- The motorcycle ride yesterday was a mixed event. We were searching for a BBQ place that was open and struck out. Ended up at a Mexican place. But, any ride in decent weather in December is a good ride.
- Yes, that is a going to be a big dog.
- I hope your Grandpa is improving Steph.
- Air Force plays Washington State at 10:15 tonight. Dave will have to tell me how that works out. Too late for me. Something tells me we'll be pulling for different teams.

Good morning BBB crew.
I'm wearing a WSU Cougars sweatshirt as I type this, so you know where my rooting interest lies in tonight's game, Dennis. The Cougs' defense is pretty weak and their offense can be hard to stop. This might be one of those games with a lot of points scored. Bet the over.
I'm suffering from a miserable head cold - a gift from my granddaughter. I plan to spend the day vegging in front of the TV watching football.0 -
Morning BBB
Record warm temps here yesterday they say. Colder now this morning may need the winter jacket downtown MKE tonite for show.
Oh, another perfect gift I was given is an old school outdoor thermometer I can nail up to the side of the shed at lake. So I can look out of my glamper dining "room" window to see temperature outside. Yes there are much "smarter" ways to achieve this info, but it's also yard garden art
Who's the house guest,Skip?
Prayers for your Grampa Steph and ur family navigating his care. It's not easy!
Lisa, you make a wonderful Mother and Grandparent! Is dd2 doing well, feeling good, with her pregnancy?
Hope everyone has a good day!0 -
a dear family friend. Her and her husband retired to CO a few years ago. Sadly, he passed away suddenly this fall. She's alone (they have no kids). I thought it would be nice to have her come join us for a few days over NYE. Sent her a first class ticket to surprise DW and DMIL for a week.....three ladies - means I'm totally outnumbered. Amen for ye olde' watering hole.1

Thanks an amazing kind gesture, Skip!0
