Versa 2 - not giving me notifications

I just got my Versa 2 and it's not showing notifications from texts or fb messenger like it's supposed to. Any ideas on how to fix this?

2 options. First one is just to turn your bluetooth on your phone off then on. That usually does the trick for me. Second is to turn your bluetooth off and then restart the Fitbit (hold down the left button and the right bottom on the same time. Then when it restarts, turn your bluetooth back on...0

Also make sure you have texts/fb messenger turned on in the app0
