CONGRATS on making GOAL to @2ESSIE!!
Also a huge shout-out to @JANET for the 3000-day streak!! :drinker: Automatic or not, that is still a HUGE accomplishment. You've permanently changed your life for the better.
I'm happy to see that life still goes on and folks are adapting in various ways to what will become somewhat our "new normal". It may get better or even worse in the coming days, but I doubt we will ever go back to the way it was before. While there has been much focus on the negative side of this pandemic, there have also been lots of heartwarming stories to come out of this. Stories of people making lemonade from lemons. Lots of households and families are spending good, quality time together again. People are reading and picking up their guitars and playing them again. Less focus on electronics as people get their fill from working from home or education online. We had to go out on a supply run today and traffic was about 1/3 of what it normally is. I see lots of people out in my neighborhood going for walks. Food establishments are making free lunches available so that kids who are out of school don't go hungry.
It's not my intention to minimize the seriousness of the situation. I just wanted to point out that it's not all gloom and doom. Stay safe and keep moving.

@darkrider42 - I agree with you, it's uplifting to see how people are coping. I am happy to report that I feel much better today. I went for a bike ride and then I went for a swim. I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but Florida is not a bad place to ride this out, now that I'm feeling better. I feel bad for the merchants though. This should be high season with spring break and instead it is like a ghost town. I'm at 46/750

@Janet: Congratulations on 3000. I lost 380 days when I first started on here because I lost an internet connection. I did not know about the reset. It was quite discouraging to see my streak go. But I know that it should be more and like you I made a big change in my life about the same time you did. Lost 83 pounds and pretty much kept them off till my dad got sick the last year. But I am back on track and losing what I put on. I never want to go back to being 210 pounds again. This time my hubby is losing, eating healthy and doing some mild exercise. It could not have happened in a better time with his lung issue and this virus. So cheers to all on here for their dedication to moving and not rusting.
@k80flec and Dave: It sure has gotten the worlds attention. Maybe people will remember this and be more kind, take time to stop and say hello to a neighbor, hug their kids more, slow down and smell the flowers. I always think as a faith based person that God can work good in any situation. Even when we make a mess of it, he can make beauty from ashes. I want all of you to know that I have our group on my daily prayer list and even though I cannot be there for each of you in person, I am hear to lend emotional support and encouragement,
Please reach out to others in your area. People are struggling emotionally. I have an acquaintance in GB who was instrumental in getting help for me when my sweet Merit acquired MRSP in her bladder back in 2009. No one here in the US had a clue what to do back then. She watched her sweet Bella die on a vet table because none of the nurses would come in the room to help her for fear of catching MRSA. I worked with a holistic vet in England for a year because the strong drugs were not stopping it in my dog and the ones that would most likely would have killed her. Her foundation became world known for treating MRSA in animals. I had contacts with experts in Florida, Ohio State and Canada because of her. Today she is struggling. She lost her job, has no money, her mother passed away not too long ago, and she has OCD for anxiety. Her coping means was doing volunteer work with the elderly. Her dog has been her saving grace and she suffers from arthritis and some other issues. They closed down her aqua therapy and she thinks she will have to put her dog down. I share all this, not to make people depressed, but extreme times can be devastating to some. She said the isolation is unbearable. If I could be there to help her, I would. Please check in on friends, widowed, elderly that may be all alone in this situation. See how they are doing. You may be their only lifeline.

@darkrider42 - I agree with you, I love your outlook, thanks for sharing!. I have to share, my husband has decided to stop working for now until it’s safe. Thank goodness even though he’s turned 68 this year he’s in good health.
The only reason he’s not working now, he has many MORE years left. He’s blessed myself and our grandchildren
, tremendously, ❤️💕❤️.
In this craziness, SOMETHING good for me is:
My granddaughter told my daughter yesterday “Mommy I saving up ALL my butterfly kisses JUST for grandma” So now until or if my grandkids go back to school. Every morning I get butterfly kisses from my 5 year old granddaughter, ❤️💕❤️2 -

Adding 2 miles. Walked outside this morning. Working in a doctor's office is getting crazy. We're scaling down the number of routine patients but the ones who call are getting slightly crazier each day. The practice has three offices, there will probably be a time when we condense to one and they were presenting options to continue to work in the hospital instead doing things like monitoring traffic in the halls, monitoring people putting on and taking off their PPE. I could also go do some labor and delivery again. I don't want to not work, but I wouldn't mind doing some of that part time if this is how we go.

We have four cases here in the Flathead. I think that matches the number of cases of toilet paper left at Walmart. The sad part about our four cases is two were hospital workers who traveled out of state for vacation! Really? The very people who are supposed to know about infection control? Unbelievable! And the physician who has it asked to be tested and the hospital refused. They said his symptoms didn’t fit. This after he told them he was in a COVID-19 area. 😡😡😡0 -
It’s weird practicing when you don’t let clients in the building. We are making due. At least a mistake I made is paying off. I accidentally ordered a case of face masks about six months ago. We are down to three boxes but we have them. 😁2 -

Just got word that Dutch Brothers coffee is no longer accepting currency, just debit or gift card and not doing stamps on stamp cards either. It is the first business that I have heard of that is turning away cash right now. This effects stores in I believe 5 states.

@ANACONDA469 - I'm not surprised about any retail location not taking cash now. Cash has always been super dirty and germ-infested. Since this outbreak, I've been really careful in my handling of cash at my 5-hour a week part-time job at the Harley dealership too. I FOR SURE use hand sanitizer every time after I handle it.
