Many days, what you post is more important than anything that I could have posted.
Here is what our dear friend and team member @MadisonMolly2017 wrote yesterday.
Came in early to encourage those who are past 3 Pass Days to Keep Logging! I’m coming up on 2 years of logging daily in UAC. I log whether things go well or not. The reason: every other time I lost weight I gained it back. It simply slipped my mind & I blinked & had regained 50-70lbs.
NOT THIS TIME.
I spent 39 months losing weight. Many times each day I’d exclaim to myself, “This is too painful; I’m NEVER doing this again.”
The secret for me is keeping my head “IN THE GAME!”
UAC posting does that for me along with my colorful trackers.
Now it won’t just “slip my mind.”
Besides, we’d miss you too much if you didn’t post!! 💕👏🦋

Thank you @MadisonMolly2017. I'm currently on 4 Pass Days and in previous months I just gave up, stopped logging and stopped posting. The fact that I am still here now is full credit to all your guys' support. You really have become a life line.
I may have to run up more Pass Days (will try not to!), but more importantly I will try and keep logging and posting. If I am still here on 30th April, I will have made my own personal Winners' Circle, first time ever!15 -
@RangerRickL, congratulations on your very well attended first Zoom presentation!
@craigo3154, you say that most snakes in Australia are venomous. That's exactly one of the reasons Australia isn't on my bucket list!! (That, and the very long flight!) Don't you have poisonous spiders and scorpions as well?
@Katmary71, I am surprised that you had dental work done. Was this a special circumstance?6 -

Hey Chinkiri,
You’re welcome! You can do it! In fact, continuing even when one has Pass Days is likely when we build the crucial skills to MAINTAIN (which is our actual goal, really.) Since maintenance means little bounces down & UP on the scale, it’s important we learn how to handle the UP’s with self-care & creative problem-solving.
PS: I have had 6-7 months when I wasn’t in the Winner’s Circle of my 24. (And many of those I maintained or even lost weight!)
Was l it easy for this reformed perfectionist to “not be perfect”? NO
Was I it crucial that I learned how to handle being human...YES!
I’ll be cheering you on & look forward to your important April 30 post!
Hugs
💕Maddie

Thank you Chinkiri for sharing. I thought I was the only one with the highest score of passes here and feeling low. Thank you mfp family for encouraging me to keep posting here instead of throwing in towel of unlimited pass days till next month. Ranger Rick, maybe we should have a Training Camp Circle for those that post every day of the month?7 -
Yes x3
10k steps! And lost a pound when I weighed myself this morning. Very close to my goal weight!
Honestly though, the UAC is keeping me from going off a food cliff during this quarantine time. My mom, sister, and I were supposed to go on our first cruise ever-- to the Norwegian fjords-- in July and it was officially cancelled today. This is now the second trip I've had cancelled. All I want to do is eat burgers and cookie dough for days on end, and I probably would, but all of you and your accountability is helping me stay disciplined during a time when I have nothing special to look forward to. Thank you!!
On a philosophical note, I find it interesting how much regular work and vacations motivate me. I should be enjoying being home, sleeping in,
and working half as much as usual, but I'd rather go back to normal times. Hmm...
But ultimately I feel lucky to have both my health and a job so am very grateful and blessed, and trying to keep things in perspective.8 -
@HASWLRS I lost a filling and needed it replaced with a crown, he had the time so he worked on a couple extra teeth. Made it easy not to pick up fast food for the drive home as I couldn't feel my face!
@cjane917 I'm so sorry to hear about your cruise!
To those of you not up for the winner's circle, your health is more important than any group even if it is awesome! It's easy to get caught up in the competition aspect but ultimately it's about developing sustainable habits you can live with long-term. In the larger picture a few days of being over is no big deal. Of course I'm thinking on all this as I write it to follow my own advice as well!

@MadisonMolly2017 I read your wonderful, encouraging post yesterday and was happy to read it again. Thank you for sharing your hard-won wisdom with us.
@Chinkiri Your post resonates with me, too. You are right, that to continue to log and post, which helps us to be aware and aim for a better life, is a very real winner's circle. I always thought that was the real point of this challenge.

Exercise yes
track yes
budget yesGood on track day.
Spent some time on the road climbing.
Kind of like 1600 exercise calories if I am to believe Mr Wizard.
Got there kind of early it was like 49 degrees or so.
Couldn't decide on how much clothes to put on.
Few degrees colder and I would put on them legging like things that bike riders wear.
Leg warmers they call them but I guess they are leggings.
Didn't wear them.
But I end up putting on jacket and wind breaker thinking that I would cook.
Turned out not the case.
Cold and windy at the top.
Cold descent but back where I parked it was hot.
Weird how that in that short distance that I travel on the road the weather can change.7 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes, 100 minutes walking, plus many hours disinfecting the public areas of my workplace because of the virus.I'm exhausted out of my mind. On the other hand, I think about Viktor Frankl's famous book Man's Search for Meaning. Frankl said (to paraphrase him, not a quote) our attitude is one thing we can control no matter what our circumstances. We can spiritually endure almost anything if we can find meaning in it, a purpose we can feel positive about.
I try to do walking meditations while I disinfect, so I come away with something for myself.
I'm also fortunate to have a job, period. Most of the people in my town are unemployed or furloughed right now.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes7 -

- sounds like quite the adventure... what a workout4 -
@espangili I like your idea of having an incentive for those who post everyday in the month.
I definitely would make that circle Most of the time. Unfortunately, from time to time, I miss a daily post.
6 -
@Hollis100 You are right! The Winner's Circle is an incentive, but developing healthy habits is the real purpose of the UAC.5

Exercise: easy day hike with elevation 45 minutes; active stretching 17 minutes
Calories: under my limit
Tracking: good6 -
YES to the third power
Satiate scale seems to be helping again but not a very stressful day today. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result so another new thing I tried today is telling myself I can have that sweet banana (not candy bar - reacclimatizing my tastebuds) if I still want it after 20 minutes. After my alarm went off, I was surprised that I didn't want it because I was satisfied with the lunch I always ate. The science is true for me, it takes 20 minutes for my stomach to tell my brain I'm satisfied!7 -
Oops not always but already4
