Length of time for Intermiitent fasting

I did my first day on Monday. I stopped eating at 6pm up until 11am. I don't know if its because of fasting but when I woke up I felt more energetic! I practically bounced out of bed. I did my strength training and had energy. I worked today and I had so much energy and felt alert.

Also I couldn't find info on how many days should I do IF?

I know I should let Ritchie answer but I know ive seen him say he does it everyday. I have another buddy on here too that says he does it every day as well, its just the way they eat, there isn't a certain length of time they do it. im not sure what everybody else does this is just based on the 2 people I have talked to about it. so I was just planning on making it a from now on kinda thing.

How long have you been doing this and have you seen results?

I know Ritchie does it daily. IF is more of a preference thing. for some people (myself included) it is more gratifying to eat big meals or a quantity of food at one time rather than little ones through out the day and it can help if you are prone to binge.

You will see results the same as if you ate the same amount of calories through out the day, you are just changing the times you would eat.
A calorie deficit is a deficit, it doesn't matter whether you eat your allotment in 1 hour or 12 hours the bigger picture will still be the same.

I'm sure Ritchie will add to or correct anything he needs to about my statement, but this is just my opinion. :)

Hi i also started on Monday with the same effect ate my last meal at 17:00 and went to bed starving but woke up a 08:00 with masses of energy;) i work shifts so this really is working for me as i struggled to hit calorie intake goals before but now im hiting all macros and even after 3 days feeling much better and good energy levels

I will probably do this while i am working then return to 3 meals at weekends to be more social with the family

    Feel free to add me

    :)

I will probably do my 3 meals on the weekends also. Its good to know that the benefit of fasting is more energy.

I'm telling you I already feel younger and more energetic! I don't understand how some can say fasting has no benefit. It pisses me off.

this is only the 3rd or 4th day now ive done it, too short of a time period to really see results but I do like it. I don't have to worry about getting up early and eating before work and after dinner im so stuffed I don't even wanna look at food the rest of the night so I don't have to worry about the urge of snacking at night.

I try and do this but because my metabolism is so high i'll wake up at 2am starving so I eat a tablespoon of peanut butter right before bed and I can sleep and wake up workout and then eat a meal. seems to work for me :O)
