What's everyone up to tonight? I'm trying to stay awake and not go to bed early...the struggle is REAL!!!

I didn't fall asleep until around 2am. I woke at 8am, but am very tired,so I may take a nap later.

I'm sorry for whatever's got you down and stressed. I hope you find your equilibrium soon.

Been eating over nearly every day this past week. Plus, walking has been sporadic. It's no wonder I am up. :-(

Steps are lacking, Some stressfule stuff is happening and usually I am a stress eater, but I have had almost no appitite in 4 days, Its fantastic for my weight loss I guess, but I also dont want to burn a ton of calories running when I am not eating much, so I am weight lifting but not much cardio until my appitite comes back.

I'm try to relax a bit today. One of my hobbies is keeping tropical fish. I do live plants in my aquarium that require pumping CO2 into the tank. You have to balance it carefully between oxygen for the fish and CO2 for the plants. Something went wrong and I dumped way too much CO2 into my tank. The fish were almost dead. They were swimming upside down or nearly dead on the bottom. I frantically did a water change while pumping air into the water. Somehow they all survived, but I'm a wreck now. There are a few hundred dollars worth of fish in there.

Wow, most hobbies aren't life or death. Hope they recover!

This is birthday week, two of three sons with birthdays with Mother's Day sandwiched in between. Of course, each son has his own cake and of course I must do my duty with each. New Mexico is saying May 15th reopen, I'm hoping my gym is part of that so I can get back into my routine. Too much time near the kitchen is not working for me. On the bright side, our weather is has been fantastic as usual. Here's a coyote in our subdivision on a morning stroll.

To all my friends in TrimStones...as states/cities begin to reopen, PLEASE be careful...if you can stay home, DO SO...as a nation, many areas (unlike NY) have hit their peaks with this dangerous virus. We are not ready to resume daily life, even as a new normal. Social distancing and wearing a mask will help all of us (the person wearing and the people surrounding), BUT it's a nasty disease that wreaks havoc on everything from lungs, to heart, kidneys, stomach, etc. Even after it's over, it's not over, as it leaves you exhausted for weeks. I just want all of you to be safe.

    Take care,
    Jessica

Sorry, sorry. I keep forgetting to log in. I am strongly suck in the I don't wanta's. Anything. Three day weekend from work so maybe that will help. Except we were going to take a road trip for our anniversary this weekend, that's not happening. The last couple years we randomly picked a state then found a nice smallish town with a nice bed and breakfast to get away and play tourist. Oh well, maybe next year.

I don't know how I pulled this off, but I'll take it. My eating this week has been atrocious! Stress induced and I'll explain more next week...lots of tears shed this week...
    Jess
I know the feeling... stress can wreak havoc on weight loss... but I hope you take care of yourself... and feel better. From a weight perspective, you maintained! And that’s awesome! When I have stress (especially with lots of tears), it’s easy for me to gain several pounds overnight between cortisol and emotional eating. Just be kind to yourself... I hope this too will pass... e-hugs from your fellow trimstones!!!

@achagpar Thanks...I'll post over the weekend of what's going on...but thank you so much...your kind words were appreciated. And I found out my scale rounded up...I actually lost .1 but didn't see it until I looked at my profile on MFP. I'm sure next week will be up a bit. I need to work on nutrition once I get this week out of the way. Just too much going on in my house. Enjoy your weekend!
    Jessica

I totally understand! Stress does a number on me too... see this week. I’ll just try to rein it in, and do better next week. Remember, it’s not how many times you fall down, but rather that each time, you get back up. 🤗

Think this is probably weight loss from my missing weigh-in last week (battery failure on scales).

After five solid months of fairly rigorous dieting I've been taking it easy this week as I've been on staycation - a hugely relieving break from a very stressful work period - and eating and drinking whatever I want. I haven't gone crazy and have been sticking to around about 2000 kcal per day. I've enjoyed every minute of it! I will be back on the calorie restrictions tomorrow though as I'm still a fair few kg of my target.
