Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

My NSV so far is that I can tell my digestive health has improved a lot, and since I'm back to eating healthy/exercising regularly/and having a regular skin care routine my acne has cleared up tremendously!
My moods are more regulated & I have more energy & confidence. While I know I haven't lost a whole lot of body fat yet but I can still tell my body looks more toned & less bloated lately, even my face has less of a "dumpling" look now lol.
I've also done something active for the last 17 days straight, well, except for that 1 day last week but besides that I didn't fall off track because of it & I've made a point to not go more than 2 days without exercise, even if I don't feel like doing it before I always feel x10 better after I get it done with.
Life just feels more bright lately, and I must remind myself consistently of that feeling and that it's always worth the effort.
I haven't felt the need to overeat, there's like tons of chips in the pantry but I haven't really cared to have even 1 small bag (though, I might treat myself to some Funyons this weekend). But I'm also not purposely undereating due to any fear of not losing weight "quick enough", not restricting my carbs heavily & always getting enough protein and at the end of the day I'm always under my calorie goal without having to try hard.
Out of the many times of trying to "start over", this time feels different, feels real. I'm excited to finish this month as a success, excited to continue on for the rest of the year.14 -

What a beautiful post!
Having control over something that has plagued us, I find, often brings such a combination of deep relaxation, comfort, sheer happiness, and sometimes even euphoria!
I’m so happy for you❣️

Today was birthday shopping with my housemate. Got a great deal on an awesome pair of trail running shoes and a good discount on new sunglasses (my old ones are about 10 years old and so scratched I can't see through them anymore.)
Our plans to roll were shifted to tomorrow as the host was late back from another town for work, and my housemate bailed on me for zoom class, but instead of being lazy I set up the mats and logged in on my own. Luckily coach had planned solo drills so it was simple for me. It was also very helpful. Then I did yoga and rehab.
Ate well and within budget so a successful day.
My nsv would have to be the number of times coach has been complimenting me during zoom classes. My technique is getting better as my strength returns. Also, I was impressed this month when we went hiking at how stable I was. My balance is terrible and going up and down rocks I'm likely to fall easily but as I get back into Jiu Jitsu that improves. Two hikes up and down the mountain and only 1 fall, which wasn't a bad one. Of course, that was in my old shoes that had absolutely no grip so I'll be even better with the new ones.14 -
Intentional pass day. Today is our two year wedding anniversary so I decided not to track. We're getting takeout from a fancy restaurant tonight and will eat at home for a nice dinner.
We're also planning to start a 9-day no-alcohol streak tomorrow until we go on vacation later in the month so tonight will be our last wine night til July 25.
NSV is almost being at 200 days logging on to MFP. My longest ever streak! (mostly due to not having been on vacation since January haha)13 -

Three yesses for me. I met my sister for a nice evening walk up a local hill between where we live - I'd felt tired and lethargic before but felt much better after.
I'm suffering a bit with 'diet fatigue' - not seeing the scale change quickly any more, and struggling with the effort required to keep from slipping back into bad old habits. But... the NSV is that I'm not quitting, I'm not even thinking about it, I'm just wondering what I can shake up to make the whole process a bit easier and kinder on me. I saw some useful chat on yesterday's board about making sure we get enough protein in, and I'm going to think about that for the next few days. In the past I've given up around now (six weeks in) but the NSV is that my mindset is shifting towards thinking of this as a longterm lifestyle change which has to be sustainable.16 -
Three yeses for me today. I’d say my biggest nsv I already shared on Monday - my first run since November and I’ve not felt the niggle of an injury. Next one scheduled for tomorrow evening, fingers crossed it goes well!
@fairy_daisy - I had been feeling just like you a few days ago, the weight loss has really slowed down and I just kept eating a little too much. I’ve used four pass days which is a shame but...I feel good again now and the last three days just felt easier. I think because I enjoy this group I feel more prepared to do this for longer so if the it takes a little more time than I hoped, so be it.12 -
My NSV is not going to be nearly so profound as the others so far....mine this month is about vanity!
In June, I teetered around the mark, but in July I am officially out of the Obese category and into the Overweight category on the BMI Chart. I have never felt "obese", so it was hard knowing I was there!
In January, 2019 we went to Mexico for a friend's 50th and I bought some capris for the occasion. Fast forward 12 months and we have a work trip to Panama and I need to buy all new capris because the Mexico ones are too small! Well, this past week I was able to fit comfortably into my Mexico capris!!
Logged and Under? Yes.
Exercise? Yes, a Darabee workout and a Hasfit workout, about 55 minutes in total.16 -
Yesterday was a pass day. Didn’t exercise. 2 pass days left. Today was a good day. Yesx3. Took my son for a morning walk and splash pad and I got my stepping done while he was splashing. More than an hour. Also 20 min MIIT class.
NSVs:
I’m more conscious of what I’m eating and also spending more time walking outside mostly with my son. I’m hoping this helps impress on him the importance of an active lifestyle.
I’m deep cleaning my home more too 😂 especially when it’s raining or too hot to step outside.13 -

Happy Anniversary ❣🍾🥂4 -
7/15
My hips and lower back is really spazzing today in sevier pain. So I spent most of my day in bed. So unfortunately Its a pass day.
I did log what I ate and drank today.12 -
Yes x 3. Came waaaaay under again, due to tummy still not being up to par, but I got thirty minutes of moving furniture around again today, and logged everything. Back to the grind tomorrow, since my fever will have been gone 24 hours by then. 🙄 To be honest, I’m dreading it.
The only nsv I can think of is that I’d been able to incorporate more protein into my day.11 -
Yes, yeah, yep. 22 minute run, 38 minute walk.8
-
Yes x three! I did 30 minutes of a tough total body strength workout and two walks with the pup over 80 minutes.
My NSV is I am logging more on the weekends than I used to. Before this challenge, I really only logged Monday - Friday, and didn’t try to log on the weekends, when I splurged the most. I’m not splurging as much on the weekend, or at least a the whole weekend.12 -
I earned the Fitbit astronaut badge! Food choices today were unwise, but I stayed within my limit, so yes x 3.9
-
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes,35 minutes Week #4-Day #1 C25K early afternoon, then 36 minutes Week #4 -Day #2 in the evening. If I was a beginning runner I definitely would not be doing C25K twice a day, nor every day. I'll cut back to once a day when I get back into my normal trail running distance.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yep
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yep
11 -
Logged all three and succeeded.
My NSV I feel better more motivated to exercise I think the heat and humidity got me last week but I did keep at it by exercising earlier in the morning. I have been able to not snack at night and am ok with it keep up all your hard work and don’t get frustrated with a day that’s not up to your expectations there is tomorrow.

@MadisonMolly2017 thank you so much 💖
@cjane917 happy anniversary! 💖🌹🌺
@HASWLRS vanity-centric NVS are still the best! it's always satisfying knowing all your efforts can finally be shown physically. I too am trying to fit back into a pair of capris, I'm glad you get to finally enjoy yours again
@fairy_daisy stay strong! ✨💪 we're all in this together!
Day 15 - Yes x3
30 minute brisk walk, active rest day with a lil bit of chores around the house
My body is incredibly sore & tight from yesterday's workout, I'm relieved I was able to go for a quick walk to get some exercise in cuz I was wondering if I was gonna have to take another Pass or not. But I prevailed! The walk was exactly what I needed, got the blood pumping & and my legs going and felt better to rest after that rather than laze around all day without moving at all. Tomorrow I'll also stick to another low impact exercise until I feel recovered enough for my next strength workout
Baked a cake for the first time since I restarted my weight loss journey, one of the things that keeps me from staying on track is always creating sweets. I just can't help myself around them, I feel like since I made it I get to have as much as I want! I guess I'm just that good at baking if they're that yummy lol. I was sorta planning on not having anything at all, but it just felt wrong to not even taste my own creation that I was feeding everyone else. So I added up all the calories & macros from the ingredients & divided it up per portion & stuck to half a slice with a hot mug of tea with cinnamon+lemon, and savoring every bite!
Feels so much more balanced & in control that way, not restricting myself from a little bit of joy but not going overboard with it either. It's perfect.
Even though I'm starting to feel the urge to emotionally eat, I try to stay aware that it won't make me feel any better. But the hot tea warming my belly & making me sleepy is enough to get pass any feelings of wanting to binge. I refuse to lose to myself. 💪13 -
Yes x 3 for Wednesday
45 min tennis, hopefully a night walk too after dinner. All tracked and logged.
NSV is 51 days of tracking and being mindful. Also, starting to see improvement in fitness while I'm on a tennis court. Due to covid we have to stick with singles instead of doubles, and lemme tell you the difference on your body is huge! Well I'm moving more swiftly, able to stay on my feet longer, etc. Can't wait to see where I'll be at summer's end.11 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?--yes.30 mins on the treadmill
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?--yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?--yes9 -
rstanford3 wrote: »I earned the Fitbit astronaut badge! Food choices today were unwise, but I stayed within my limit, so yes x 3.
What does it take to get one of those? (I have a fitbit too)3 -
Pass day today. My work and life plates are so full. Looking forward to some needed vacation/rest time soon.
NSVs include: increasing the length of my hikes, showing up for my health vis a vis tracking, n recently, I opted for a single size chocolate bar rather than the jumbo.🍫12 -
Yes x3. NSV - I'm starting to look leaner in my upper arms, thighs, and stomach.11
-
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? - yes 50 minutes on the stationary bike, and planning on trying a 10 minute "Before Bed" Pilates routine by Rachel - "The girl with the Pilates Mat" on Youtube. (I also found a 10 minute "Start Your Day" routine by the same lady but have yet to try it.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? - yes, both for MFP AND the fitbit total burn once the bike session registers
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? - yesindeedy-doo
Days goals met: 14
Pass days used: 1 (unexpected)
NSV: Actually continuing to explore moving away not only from Wii-based brisk-walk/jog on mini-trampoline exergame, but also beyond solely CARDIO exercise options. Using my stationary bike in the basement for more intense burn-per-minute work AND starting to explore pilates youtube videos now that I have found a sympatico "instructor". (still not consistently working on the body-weight resistance work yet, but I figure active work on alignment / balance / range of motion instead of only-cardio is still moving in the right direction.
Also the more-often-than-not evening extended walks with DH most evenings too.9 -
Yes x3 today
NSV: a few days ago, I was in the grocery store and suddenly wanted a pastry. I went off in search of a chocolate croissant, couldn't find one, found something similar, and then read the calories: 690 for one pastry. Thanks, but no thanks. I could have a chocolate bar for 200 calories instead, but passed that up, too, and finally bought fresh blueberries. I wouldn't have even considered the calories in the past.

Yes to all three .
Three months since I started online yoga with a really good instructor ( who doesn’t behave like a guru thank god). It has helped me increase core strength and stability. Also got me back on my journey to a healthier less sedentary lifestyle after 20 years of being marginally overweight. At age 68 I am looking forward to shopping for new clothes ( something I hated doing) , to active holidays and a better life after the end of the lockdown in our part of the world .
I love being back in control of myself again😁13
