    Morning~

Long day yesterday - longer one in store today.....

Got patio furniture set out; chaise and pool ledge lounger's arrive today. Its starting to come together.

Warming up to the idea that staycation is all we'll be able to do this year. WAY TOO MANY new cases of COVID for my comfort level.

    Good luck on offer, Mary!

Lounging in a pool sounds like a nice way to spend a day, Skip! I hope your back is doing well.
Happy Fathers' Day to all you amazing BBB menfolk! I hope you got spoiled a little on Sunday.
Yay for the ROMEO coffee time! I'm having coffee with a new friend on Friday ... I haven't had a coffee date in a LONG time.
Good luck with the offer, Mary! I'm rootin' for you!
Careful of that sun, Sam. You don't look like someone who tans easily.

I'll be at the WW Studio tomorrow for the first of our in-person hours. Should be interesting! We're going to be VERY strict with the social distancing guidelines. I had my nails done yesterday and was very impressed there! They had me fill out a questionaire when I arrived asking things about any recent exposure or symptoms, they took my temp, and I had to wash and sanitize my hands the moment I walked in and wear a mask the whole time. I felt pretty good about it!

I went to an in-person AA meeting last week and was disappointed in the group's adherence to social distancing. There were 14 in the room (supposed to be 10), as more entered others scooched chairs closer and closer together until there was maybe 18 inches between some, 1 person didn't wear a mask (she's quite old and said she had oxygen issues, but I know her and I think she's just stubborn ... hard to say, really, so I'll just not think about it), and 7 out of the others didn't wear the mask over their noses or took it off to talk. I decided that I'm not ready to sit in a small room for an hour with a group like that. If they're cool with it, that's fine. I'm just not yet. Maybe in another month or so ... we'll see. For now, I'll stick to Zoom.

Lisa - SOOOOO great to hear from you! I'm with you 100%! Not ready for prime time here either. I did get a pedicure last week - and same: masks; sanitizer; one person every other chair..... We are ready for flip flop season! Woot!

Good luck at WW in-person meetings!

I hear ya Skip. You too Lisa. Last WW meeting I went too as the pandemic was starting I thought the folks were too cavalier. I am more of a so-called "germaphobe" than most. Probably my years in medical research.
I went to a garden center in the boonies yesterday wearing a mask. serious distancing but only two other customers there and it is outdoors. Waited outside the open air shop for 1 person to check out. I have been here twice with same results. Also shopping at our New Seasons Market early during Senior/Community hours has been good with just 3- 5 customers in the store.
I went to a dermatologist where they called us up one by one from our cars.

    Good Morning,
I'm staying virtual with WW for now, many moves as studios open and some decide they do not want to go back. I would not have an issue going back following WW protocols.
Our church will resume services this Sunday, asking for families to register which service they wish to attend, require masks, social distancing requested and to do socializing outside. No coffee or snacks provided and for now not having children's church or nursery. Vacation Bible School is virtual this year with packets available to be picked up or call for delivery.
Better to stay in one's backyard than risk running into someone who believes virus is a hoax and follows no precautions; saw many like that last week.
We tried shopping senior hours and found stores busier then than other hours along with many folks saying they can't see with mask and cannot breathe with mask. For me and my family we all have mask and are expected to wear them when in public, I have one in each vehicle. Am very satisfied with precautions taken at doctors, dentist, salons, and barbershop though I hear many saying it is an overkill. My reply is I have not had virus nor do I want it so why take a chance.
Cloudy today with high chance of rain, good excuse to put off trimming shrubs.
DMIL returns sometime tomorrow, they did not want to wait till we would pickup Saturday.

Hooray for Lou. I assumed that was the countdown.

I agree it will be interesting to venture out of my rural Nebraska bubble. Except for the quick to to Sioux falls via Omaha we haven't been anywhere except grocery store and sisters houses. Headed to Denver next week for a sit then salt lake City area. I will plan to wear masks in those states as I assume everyone else will too.

Today a niece 13 and nephew 18 are here to help clean up the old farmyard. It is finally calm so will burn limbs etc. And I have a haircut scheduled for this afternoon. My first since January.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Started the day with my Tuesday Morning Emmaus group.
    • T -1. I understand your excitement Lou. Wow, that'll be some train trip.
    • Big switch for some people as groups start to migrate back from Zoom meetings to face to face. Some want to, and some don't. It is difficult to do a joint meeting without some specialized equipment.
    • COVID-19 cases are higher than ever in GA but death rates have not spiked again. Is it just an increase in testing or is the virus weakening?
    • I'm getting up early tomorrow and taking my neighbor to the Atlanta Airport. She is headed to the Mayo Clinic in MN again.
    • Stay safe my friends.
