Question about how you log your activity calories from your apple watch

I walk about 20,000 steps daily and do pilates and other workouts. I burn about 900 activity calories daily (above my bmr). Here's my question- I currently have my profile set up to sedentary and then have the diary add activity calories in. I'm not sure what is the best method? What do others do? Just curious--

On another note- I've owned garmin, coros and fitbit, but I think the activity calories are the most accurate on the apple watch, especially for walking. FItbit was wildly inaccurate, coros and garmin were more accurate, but coros wasn't user friendly with mfp and garmin had terrible battery life.

Apple Watch doesn’t translate info into MFP like other trackers. There is a 3rd part app called Pacer. You can link MFP to Pacer for steps, link Pacer to Apple Health. When you track a workout in Apple Watch, and sync to Pacer, you will see two adjustments. One from Pacer, one from Apple Health. You can delete the Apple Health bc it’s a double entry.
If you set your activity level to sedentary, your adjustment will be your entire “Move Calories” in Apple Watch. If you are getting 20K steps outside of intentional exercise, you are highly active. Your adjustment will be too much if you select sedentary.
