@texasgardnr ,
@AnnofB great walking with Leslie! I am so glad that you are doing so well with your exercises/ walks!
I didn't know that Jessica Smith has chair workouts also. I liked her workouts from the few that I have done on YouTube or on the DVD that I have. I've done a little bit of one of her DVDs that I had liked before my ankle stuff started and was happy that I can follow her mother to a point. I could be the grandmother on the set 🤪 now for how old I'm feeling lately (and actually am 😲) and how much stamina that I have lost this year.
Thanks, Mary! Saw the pulmonary doc today. Having a lung scan Monday. If it's OK, the only thing left to examine will be my head! Ha-ha.
I love Debbie! I love that mother and daughter get to workout together. If I could tell anyone in their 20's or 30's anything about fitness, it would be don't ever take it for granted. Take being healthy seriously; enjoy it of course, but find what you love and keep doing it as long as you can.
And I like Marvin too. And there an older lady in one of Leslie's video's, I think it's the Get Started Mile that is mile one of 3 Fast & Fun Miles. Her name is Elizabeth. She is doing her own thing and having a blast, you can tell. I love it.0 -
You make me laugh sometimes quite unexpectedly @AnnofB , this time it was the 'examine your head' quip 😁. That 'quip' word just jumped into my brain as I was thinking how to to respond while I was laughing. So I had to google to make sure I would be using a word in correct context... and it was. Not sure which of my brain cells decided to suddenly wake up with a new old word 🧐.
Your further comment was so very right on target 🎯 . About talking with a younger person about fitness. Especially the part of not taking anything for granted. I have learned that also this year. With my exercise/ fitness part of my life being messed with 😲 also.
I remember Elizabeth!! She seemed to be a joyful free spirit in a fun and happy way... She actually inspired me to think that sometimes I just need to lighten up a bit and enjoy the now.
My feet/ ankles needed a rest/ easy day today, so I pulled that disk out to see if maybe tomorrow I'll try another mile walk again. That would be a fun one to try. And be inspired again.... Thanks!

I really liked the 2 mile and the 3 mile express walks. And the one for the Abs, can't think of it's name a 3 mile one. I think you and I talked about Wendy's ab's in that one, way back in the day. She was one fit lady.
"Thanks @AnnofB and @mypinkbikini. I use really good walking and other shoes. The podiatrist approved them. He sold me inserts that did work really well to adjust my gait to take that initial pain spot away so I could walk. My pain moves around my ankle and sometimes even leaves me for awhile. I just have to learn what hurts and what helps for now because pain can come at me suddenly. So I'm learning about osteoarthritis and flare ups and what I can do to help myself. I'm adjusting my activity all the time and at the same time challenging myself to keep going."
Meant to comment on this conversation a few days ago. So glad you found those inserts. They are wonderful things. I am a big fan of Skechers. They have a memory foam insert that really works for me. I have noticed the same thing regarding flair ups. You are fine and then suddenly, its there. And it seems that many different things can trigger it. "I'm adjusting my activity all the time and at the same time challenging myself to keep going." Love that. Obstacles will come, but we will have to keep finding the way, over, around or under them, won't we?
