    Good Morning!

Today is Friday, and payday. I'm happy. Also, the taco truck shows up at work on Friday's at 11:30.

Dave, beautiful picture! I'm glad that you were able to have a fun camping experience with your family.

Today is the fourth day in a row that I have not exercised. I'm hoping that this break will help restore some of my energy. I plan to resume walking on the TM tomorrow.

One more really hot and humid day today, and then a cold front is supposed to come through tomorrow. They are saying the highs next week will be in the low 80s. Hopefully, we are about finished with the really hot and humid weather.

I had one of those head shaking experiences yesterday. Being a small company controller also means that I'm the CFO, HR, and several other things. As I was walking through the plant yesterday morning, an associate approached me and was trying to confirm that since President Trump signed his executive orders, then we won't be holding out payroll tax out of the next payroll checks, right? I explained that just because he signed executive orders does not mean it goes into effect today. His orders are being contested, and nothing is in place yet. By mid morning, I was convinced that 90% of the plant was believing that no payroll taxes would be held out of their checks. It went through the whole plant. I was able to get people to believe me, and I burst a whole lot of bubbles, but I can't believe how a rumor can get going, and go through the whole place with so many believing it. Sigh....

    Have a great day!

Me dad used to say, Fastest way of communicating to large numbers of people is to start a rumor. And, A secret is something you tell to only one person at a time.

Been so disorganized at getting out early to exercise, I finally made a night-before checklist so I don’t have to think while half asleep and fumble around in the morning. It worked this morning— except I slept through the alarm. At least I’m ready to go at 7:00. Was shooting for 6:00. Will keep trying. Biking this morning.

I paddled yesterday but ran into 2-foot high beaver dams and turned around early...too hot to be hauling 85# canoe plus gear over dams.

Anyone know of resources for a no carb diet?

    Have a good one.

    Mornin' gents.

    Beaver dam! Damn beavers.

Hope you are feeling rested now, Steve. That bathroom project would take it out of me for sure.

Circulate this link in an email to all company employees, Steve.

Be careful what you wish for.

Like that about rumors and secrets, Mike.

Sam, how are you feeling today?

Dave, looking at the beach scenery I get the urge to grab a surf rod. Is the surf fishing any good out there?

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

I love reading about your paddling, Mike - and the photos.

I saw a couple guys casting in the surf, Lee, but they were too far away to tell whether they had any luck. DS said he saw someone catch a flounder. People clamber out on the jetty at the mouth of the Columbia to fish, when the surf isn't up. I don't have equipment for saltwater.

Weather shifts are a funny thing. You're cooling down, while we're heating up. Back into the 80s, today, 90s over the weekend. We have had a very cool summer, though.

    Tis Fry-Dee!
I'm not doing anything and do not have plans to do anything
    Should be a restful weekend.
    Slow and steady, getting better
Mike, its called no white: no potatoes, no wheat, no corn or corn products, no rice, no peas or beans other than green, no sugars. Atkins recommended two weeks only eating meats, fish and drinking plenty of water. After two weeks can add in 1/2 cup of vegetables twice a day, after a month can increase vegetables but try and stay away from high starch vegetables. One plan allows one day a week of raw fruit after a month.

    Good Morning

Awesome picture yesterday Dave of the lighthouse seascape. Much better than Steve's toilet shot. Mike the beaver dam shot from the canoe was impressive as was the beaver's handiwork.

That executive order will cause more harm than good. I don't think people understand the tax will be collected. Its like living on credit, not the best policy. I wouldn't implement it.

We are in a heat wave. 102 yesterday and at least 108 today. Should last till Thursday. The sun is just coming up so I will be out early to water everything and then staying inside. My back has improved enough that I may be able to walk a bit this morning.
