At the office workouts

I recently got a new job; from waitressing to an office job. Although I love my new job, I tend to sit at a desk all day and I am not as active during the day as I was serving.

I was punching holes with the hole puncher while sitting down and realized that it can be quite an ab workout! I was then curious if anyone had any "at the desk" workout suggestions?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't really have anything I do while sitting..except for stretching. But if you can close your office door or sneek into a conference room you can always do 10 squats and/or wall push ups every hours or so. I have also been known to do jumping jacks in empty conference rooms.

If you have a slow day, just find somthing to type. Even thought it is not exercise it will make you move more than just reading the news and wil burn a few extra cals.

Good Luck with your new job and your weight loss.

I have had office jobs for the last 6 or 7 years and that is about the time frame that I put on my weight, lol! Sitting all day with minimal activity is hard on the waistline if you are not careful. I have 4 flights of stairs in my building, and once or twice a day I'll walk them a couple of times. If it is a nice day I will eat my lunch at my desk, and then go outside for a couple of laps around my building. It all adds up... :)

Tricep dips at your desk or if your chair has arms and isn't too wobbly. Maybe some sitting ab work.
