@Geneveremfp You're right - thank you for reminding me! And something I am *very* proud of is resisting ordering takeout yesterday - was having a really not great day and just wanted to do my usual comfort eating thing. Was sitting there with my order all typed in on UberEats but stopped myself (twice!) by reminding myself I'd feel awful after. That is honestly massive for me.7

Yes, yes, and yes. However the exercise was limited to cleaning, packing, and prep for vacation. I am headed to the gym this morning though.6

Yes x3! Lost 3 lbs this week, and owe it to this challenge!4

Happy Belated Birthday, @TerriRichardson112 (I am assuming that was your birthday cupcake?) and @kileyroach2002!!
Logged and under and a 55 minute walk.2 -
I almost forgot about the dancing.... These days I only dance if another one of my Challenges requires it! I put on my favourite dance CD's (yes, I am old; I still have CD's!) and dance around the kitchen like no one is watching, (which they aren't)! I did some modern dance in university, and my husband and I took ballroom dancing lessons before our wedding so we could waltz to Anne Murray's "Could I Have This Dance?" But sadly, once all of our friends were married, we didn't go to any weddings for years, so we lost what we learned (well, he did!) when we took lessons.2

I’m not really into dancing but I definitely enjoy what the world has to offer. Sunday morning started with an ocean swim. It was pretty cold which makes it hard to get in but once you are in it is so worth it. I’m sure the fisherman thought my friend and I were crazy but we had fun. Then small group church were we planned a few more adventures together before a quiet afternoon at home. My Apple Watch rings were not closed around supper time so I did some rehab stuff to close them. All food tracked and under budget, no treats in the house so mostly good choices (treats at church fitted in the budget). And exercise done!2

Rough times (Son just got out of a successful sinus surgery a continent away & husband was in ER with horrible pain - gallstone), but the worst is behind us. Both are great now.
Treating myself gently & not running to food as the two people I care most about went through this. Mindfulness, gratitude, movement, creating, learning, organizing/cleaning + a little (rare for us) tv is helping. But I sense Deep Fear. Working to resolve that.
I can’t WAIT until it’s safe & I can get back to my nature walking/hiking. Quads are sore, left ankle not happy as well as left hip. IDK if yoga is helping or hurting- I’ll go slower & more gently.. but I do know walking works well for me in many levels.
Thanks, sorry for the downer post.2 -
Oh, and I LOVE to dance but with ankle & hop, I need to do so gently. It’s one of my most favorite things in the world!1

@MadisonMolly2017 I'm much better!
This Friday, Rose and I are beginning a road trip out west (not all the way to your out west) with Yellowstone Park at a the ultimate destination. I have reservations to be part of a 4 day horse trip out of Pahaska Teepee Lodge near the east entrance to the park. I've cancelled my participation in the ride. It would not be fair to my back nor to the other participants if my pain flares up. Nonetheless, I'm really looking forward to the journey. Rose and I are still best friends after all these years.

Oh, what a lovely trip. I’m sorry about the horse ride. I wonder if there might be some “work-around” like the bike rides where you can call the van to take you (And your bike) to the next checkpoint?
Either way, I know you guys will have the BEST TIME!
With the fires out here, I was reminded of how Yellowstone grew back from massive fires. Comforted me as I regained my balance!
Yes, you & Rose remind me of my husband & me. (41-42.3 years depending when you begin counting LOL)
“Two halves of the same rock.”
Best friends forever❣️2 -
@MadisonMolly2017 We saw Yellowstone both before and after the fires. After 5 years, the wildflowers were amazingly abundant and beautiful. Nature will out!
