Increased Goal Calories for Exercise

Now that I'm increasing my cardio (with my fitness watch linked to MFP), I'm getting generous increases in goal calories.
It makes sense that I'm burning more calories and may need more carbs to properly fuel my exercise and protein to build muscle, but am a bit wary of using all the calories.
Thoughts?
